You sound like you have a separate amplifier for the speakers (as opposed to powered speakers that have internal amplifiers). In this case you should only run the main out (possibly tape out) from the mixer to the amplifier line level in. The amplifier will then determine how many speakers...
The first two channels on the MG82cx (that have the inserts) are mono. If you have more than one source (mic and instruments etc) you can pan the tracks L or R and make a stereo mix. If your source is stereo capable you may be able to use channels 5 and above on the mixer which have stereo...
I would like to know the answer to this also as I don't know what "db level" ADAT digital compares to if anything. I know if you feed one audio interface into another (my scarlett does this) you are probably going to overload the inputs because +4db pro line level is too hot for the scarlett...
I just read an article on there is a trend towards micing small (1 watt or so) amps that recreate the specific sounds of larger amps. I cant find it ... :(
I finally figured out Ableton- arm the tracks first etc etc.... But seriously, then I downloaded REAPER and there was much rejoicing. Free to try- just do it.
A better practice is to record the track you want to modulate onto some other kind of player and play it into the mixer independently. Sometimes I have to disconnect part of the loop depending what I need to do because really it is designed to either play OR record, not both simultaneously as...
I do this and it works pretty well MOST of the time ( I call it karaoke live mode) ... depending on what I use in my DAW I will occasionally run into an echo loop or at worst - a screaming feedback loop (on some amp simulators)... most of the time the mixer/interface/DAW manages to keep it...
I thought it was "White Country Ass" ... Country White sounds like a swatch of paint at the hardware store. Hey honey lets paint the kitchen Country White. Ok honey you mean country white ass? Yes dear that's it- country white ass, king of like eggshell.
When I read "Tiger" I gotta post so I can follow the ensuing mayhem.
Post a clip OP! As a beginner it helps me to hear and learn what you advanced people are talking about.
Isn't it the drummer that lends a slight lag bounce to that song too? I think your drum really needs to cut through better and lag just a hair more than your timing does.
After fiddling some more with it- I am back to running a record /play loop and its working ok. I swore it was echoing or feeding back but it seems to not be doing this now. So I am running the interface back into the mixer return/ and the mixer record out into the interface. No noticeable...
Looks like you can listen to the sound engineer (mic) and one line level track. There is also a mic pass through so I guess the next guy can listen to the recording engineer also? The ground lift button reduces hum from ground loop problems. There is also an extra headphone jack (smaller size...
