    gay looking bass

Shit I want one of those if I can find it full size, I can only find 3/4th size. How excellent would that be to be up one stage playing a hard rock song on a hello kitty guitar/bass?

Shows how much attention I pay XD

What's the best pro-sounding studio recording setup I can put together for under $38?

Figured they were referring to most of the answers. Trust me, there are many people who would legitimately ask this question. :P

What's the best pro-sounding studio recording setup I can put together for under $38?

You won't get a pro sound. Period. If you could, why would people ever spend a penny more than 40 bucks, let alone hundreds of thousands building studios? This thread has been sarcasm'd out, so I'll give you some real advice: Audacity has been mentioned. Go download it. Do you have Rock Band...

Where can i download scenes from movies?

vixy.net allows you to convert youtube videos to downloadable videos. I've only gotten it to work once though, and I've tried maybe a dozen times.

    Processor love

If it's possible, find out what motherboard you have, too. You're system might only support a small amount of RAM.

How Would You Improve This Setup?

Hahaha. Set myself up for that one. I just don't like how inefficient, and non-customizable macs are.

How Would You Improve This Setup?

If you're using it for purposes other than recording as well, go PC. If it's a recording only, as much as I love PCs, macs tend to work better. Also, you asked how to improve the setup. You don't specify how good your speakers are, you might want to buy some better monitors.

GullyJewelz - Switchin Lanes ft. Big Menace

Damn Gully, I see why people talk so good about you around here.

    How do YOU do it?

As of right now, I just record me. I just honestly play an electronic drumkit, then do my synth parts in Buzz. Then I mic my guitar, just put a dynamic right up to the amp. Then I record vocals over it.

    Demos??

I disagree here. Everything I've read and seen is the opposite. I've never ever heard of a band being turned down because the sound quality on the demo wasn't great. They're looking for songs, and for talent; not how good the engineer is. A good band making 4 track recordings has a better chance...

How do you make a bass boost?

You put crack on your fishing line.

Are you in a band/do you gig?

I haven't gigged before, but I've looked around at a few venues, and everywhere I've look has been the opposite. They're afraid of crappy cover bands, as well as legal issues...

I wanna make some super cheap home recordings

Do you mean an XLR cable, the one with 3 pins? Or a 1/4" cable, commonly known as an amp cord? If you get a small mixer like this one, you can plug the mic into it, then use this cable to connect the output to your computer.

I wanna make some super cheap home recordings

Firstly, download Audacity. Secondly, do you have Rock Band or Guitar Hero World Tour? If so, you have a USB mic. You can plug this in, and put it up to your guitar amp, press record in Audacity, and start playing. If not, you're going to want to pic up a mic and a preamp. If you plan on...

    Recording Bass Guitar

I've got a cheap ass little Behringer mixer and I've found that I can just plug my bass straight into the mixer, then into the soundcard. Plugging it straight into the soundcard for me is too much hum. So like one of the posters above, I'd recommend plugging it in through the mixer before you...

    Stop calling yourself a "PRODUCER".

But they don't... So it is about rap.

    Stop calling yourself a "PRODUCER".

Am I the only one who could care less whether or not rap has a beat that is more complex than a 1-2 measure bassline, and a kick drum and snare alternating? It's all about the words, anyway...

    Stop calling yourself a "PRODUCER".

Alright. From the examples you gave in the beginning it sounded like you were aiming at all rap producers, like many people posting are. I hear the whole "music I don't like isn't music at all" argument/viewpoint all the time, and it bugs the living shit out of me, so sorry for jumping down your...
