I too have a Pro VLA, never used the RNC but the Pro VLA is a lot cleaner than I think people give it credit for. It does add a bit of character, to where I hear that the RNC doesn't. Anyway, the VLA gets used for Vocals 95% of the time here and on occasion on the master bus.

I like that Boss04 Club joint. On these PC speakers I can't tell, but is that a 808? If so I think you should layer a lighter kick on top of it for those listen on small speakers. I can hear that being a southern club joint though def.
Me too, I just got into MIDI earlier this year. I always went straight audio and tried to avoid MIDI as much as I could... until I got Reason which led me to get CubaseSX3 since Audition didn't support MIDI... then ofcourse had to get other VST instruments/samplers...
