check your cables, do you have phantom power for condeser mics o, ? I once had a bad snake wich blew my kick/tom/bass/guitar/everytinhg sound cause of bad cables. Try to turn of you phantom (if it's on) and check again. I could describe my previous kick sound as powerfull slapping my forehead...

I'm not really familiar with the behringer mixers :), tough i think this model has a direct output per channel. If not you can use the inserts <-- (You have to plug a monojack halfway in the plug (so u can see a cm from the sleeve) to get the signal without interrupting it to the main mix or aux...

...and use your "master" output, i've heard people say that the tape-out produces more noise(??). If you get a better soundcard(with balanced inputs), you might wanna use balanced (xlr) cables. Also ... 80% gain looks pretty much to me... But ofcourse, the dmp3 is a great preamp for the buck :D...

some cases will allow you, but lots don't. It works if you have 3 bays, i guess that makes a square then but if you have 2, a cdrom/writer just wont fit trough the hole.

yeah i know but, i live in belgium. There's like only 2 descent 2hand shops in my region so haven't got much choice. I'm shure i'll fiend something on ebay asswel but most people don't ship outside the states.
