Hello,
I have (2) Shure SM81s, (1) Shure SM57, and (2) Behringer XM8500s.
They all have suitable situations, but none of them are giving me what I want for vocals.
So, I have $270, which Large Diaphragm Condenser mics would you recommend. I plan to record a number of different...
Hey guys I was just wondering when you are recording a full album, or just any more than 1 songs, and you'll be tracking all the drums at once, then all the guitars etc. Do you put all the songs in one project file? Or keep each song as a seperate file?
It seems like putting them all in one...
That is what I'm against, people saying 'oh your not punk if you dont listen to this bla blah blah' or 'this isn't punkrockmusic' which is why I was aggrivated at you deciding what was 'punkrock' music and what wasn't.
But from one punk fan to another, I highly recommend Feeding of 5000.
And...
Hmm, ignorance is easy. Not to worry. Your statement that Crass' music isnt 'punkrock' already loses your credability so don't you worry, but I do believe you are taking the ideologies of 'punk' in the wrong direction ;).
About the OH technique, yes I have seen that Recorderman technique before...
Of course i'm talking about punk music. Intelligent punk music, not stupid oipunk, or lame ignorant 'punx' bullshit spouting out their bastardized version of 'anarchism'. And im not talking about the mainstream 'music' industry's verson of punk - trendy kids with skateshoes and spikey hair...
Thanks guys. I was thinking that the backups might be too loud though.
To answer Vagodeoz, I recorded the drums with SM81s on stereo overheads, SM57 on snare, and Behringer XM8500 on kick. thing is, i miced the kick on the batter head, wheere the beater hits it, and that way it's easy to get...
My band is recording an EP and this is one song we've finished so far. the mix isn't final but i thought i'd put it up here and see what people think. The problem is I can only upload it as .wma because it needs to be less than 10MB so I can't put up lossless .wav.
Tell me what you think...
I searched up on this and found a post or two with the same problem, but no real solution within cubase.
Anyway, even if i export in wma lossless, Wav or anything, it does this as well. help?
EDIT: OHHh I just realized the simple solution, when the export window opens up you see a litte...
Thanks guys I'll keep all this in mind. But he needs to keep in that price range so a nice stack is out of the question.
When I was looking at both specs it seems one of the final big things it boils down to is either:
One 15" Speaker
OR
Two 10" Speakers
From my knowledge, the larger the...
Well folks, my bassist is in the market for a nice new bass amp but not quite in the market for stacks/anything more higher end, but he's in this $350ish price range, and after a few shootouts we've come to decide between
Ampeg BA115...
Hey there guys, I'm aware this is a very wide open question as it depends on your gear, their gear, the sound your going for etc. But I was wondering if there are any guides anywhere? I tried googling but didn't really get much.
I don't really have any specific questions on the whole 'How To...
one probalem you will have is that it is a mic input, and the level coming from your mixer is line level, so the level meter on your mixer wont be correct as mic level is ALOT higher (i forget the exact amount) than line level so you'll need to turn your mixer down quite alot or else you will be...
Hey guys, I was just wondering what would be better to do?
A. Keep all your audio projects etc. on the Local Disk and run from there.
B. Put all your audio projects etc. on say the D: drive and run them from there.
Or is there any difference? I'm not talking about external drives, just...
