    Which ukulele?

Hey Strat, I have a soprano uke, but this guy's playing alone makes me want to move up to a tenor!! Jake Shimabukuro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puSkP3uym5k

Retracking of a Blues song-Last one to know

QUOTE=Zaphod B;3507199]Hey, Tony, nice tune. :) I do like the unexpected progression in there; it's a nice change of pace for what would otherwise be a "regular ol'" blues tune. Thanks Tommy, I tossed in some chromatic climbs for something 'off the wall'... I'll not comment on the mix because...

Retracking of a Blues song-Last one to know

I took the drum tracks and made it into one stereo track-I need to use the individual parts to balance them better. Live and learn.....:o And by the way, did you ever get you a Tele-was it one of the GFS Xaviere models? I like mine a lot-the necks are nice and wide-that works great for me...

Retracking of a Blues song-Last one to know

Hey Joey, I noticed the charts in Soundclick were totally screwed up last night-I had several songs that said they were 999,999 out of 18,500 songs!!!:laughings: Today the song was at #18---freakin' crazy!!!

Fine cover, everything is nice and tight. Only nit I can hear is that the tempo needs to be somewhat faster-it's dragging slightly-to me anyway. We played it in a band I was in this spring and I recall it did move along a bit faster. Very good job though! Now Rami, I'd like to hear you do a...

    Speaker Wiring

A 9 volt battery can be used to check the speaker's polarity, when the speaker pushes out-the positive post on the battery will also be positive on the speaker connections. And don't leave the battery connected for any length of time to avoid speaker damage! It's a good thing to check polarity...

Broken Life - a collab with Chris

Nice Joey, reminds me of Soundgarden, with a touch of Alice in Chains too! The intro & choruses sound a bit off-might very well be voice fatigue. But you stated it was a very fastly done-regardless it still is very good!

Thanks for another listen and comments Gerry-I'm sorry that I cut the Fender Strat solo on this mix-it always sounds so good in a mix! It's been with me for 30 plus years now-it's still in the mix though, it's the rhythm guitar. I may have to re-do the snare and the crashes, it seems that when...

Retracking of a Blues song-Last one to know

Thanks zazz-it's a work in progress and you are correct-I had 2 rhythm tracks that have timing issues together, I was too tired when I mixed it and forgot to remove one of the guitars! I only have the Strat rhythm on the next mix. Thanks Joey, I believe I used a cheap Nady ribbon mic for the...

Thanks Ray, I will work on that snare, and the peogression is different for blues-a chromatic walkup of Amaj, A#/Amaj, Bmin & Cmaj-it's been in my head for years and I decided to finally use it. For now I have gone with a single rhythm guitar-my 74' Fender Strat. That solo is an Epiphone...

Retracking of a Blues song-Last one to know

Wow, thanks to all of you for the comments and listening to this song. I worked on a new mix and hope it's an improvement. I shortened it a little, the Strat lead had to go-but it was going on a bit too long. I have to head out for the evening, but I will reply to your comments...

Retracking of a Blues song-Last one to know

Thanks Gerry, it's taken a while to get back to recording-my old desktop was having issues so I changed to a laptop and things are so much easier and better! I started out wanting to play more bluesy stuff, but once I started tracking the solos I kind of turned into Mr Hyde! I threw that...

Tomorrow - a more mainstream me

Great stuff Joey, it's amazing how you can slide into so many musical styles and still sound new and fresh with them. I rigged up an old Telecaster pickup in my 12 string and it does double duty as and acoustic/electric or as an electric. The pickup is temporarily mounted into the soundhole...
