Crazy, Meshuggah! Great mood piece. I liked the harmonies and lead guitar best also. If anything the lead vocal is too far back, but on the other hand you don't want to lose that ethereal quality. The accompanying guitar is a little too dominant at times; I'd slide it down a tad.

Great picking. At times it reminded me of the bluegrass-fusion jam songs from bands like the String Cheese Incident. The drumming could use some variety; I would bring it down at least when the guitar gets quieter around 2:00.

The problem with this strategy is that if the effects cover up the deficiencies in the singer's voice only to the singer's ears, then it's gonna come out worse than ever!

Tree I like Treeline's idea also. No matter how many bells and whistles you add to a combo amp it's still not going to give you the sound size and flexibility of a PA-type set up. Of course, if your use is going to remain humble then the combo amp is fine. I do like my Fender Acoustasonic...

It really was a pleasure to listen to. I agree, and thought all the way through it, that the vocal is like John Lennon circa Sgt. Pepper (I also agree with.... maybe a little too much like John Lennon). Strings are obviously synth but well done anyway! I would end the song at the climax...
