This is the background music for a cover I'm doing of Summertime. I have yet to record the vocals so there is temporarily a piano track in its place. My version of Summertime combines my two favorite versions, with the melody of the Janis Joplin version in the jazz style of the Ella Fitzgerald...

How can I get a recording to sound like it was recorded in the twenties, like that effect that Christina Aguilera used on the song 'I Got Trouble'? Does that particular effect have a name and do I need new hardware to record it?:)

I have a few quick questions about a free program called audacity. I've used it so far to record vocals because it has a really neat and simple display, but am wondering if there is any problem with a delay as it seems as though it puts the vocal track a second or two after I sing it, my timings...

id use something like tunecore. they put an album for sale on itunes for 20 dollars, which is a one time fee. when i finish a song im gonna put it on there. :)
