I think you should check out the Firecracker snares from Pearl. they come in 10" and 12" both wood and metal. theyre really cheap too. they got pretty good reviews, and im thinking bout getting a second snare myself, and ill be trying them out soon.

i use a 13" and a 16" tom and i think that works really well. if i were u i would by a 24" kick drum instead.

its only rock n roll remo pinstripe works fine on top headz, and you shold try remo ambassador for bottom heads for the toms it will probably give you a hard, deep sound with minimal ringing and overtones, if you tune them well. for the kick i dont think its so important about the type of head...
