    Janglebox without a Janglebox

That's too much. I paid $150 for mine, but that was quite a while ago.:o I have a few Behringer pedals, they're hit and miss but perfect for limited use if you're on a budget.

I have a Danelectro 12 string, it's pretty good for the price.

    Janglebox without a Janglebox

I have a few compressor pedals including a superdynacomp, and I would say that the Danelectro surf and turf does the same thing for a lot less. Made out of plastic and cheap, great for limited use. Have you used a compressor pedal yet? It's just an ingredient toward a tone, a lot of people are...

Can you hear that I don't use a pick when I play?

I only play bass when I record, but I may try a pick someday just to hear how it sounds.

Can you hear that I don't use a pick when I play?

That kind of sounds like me, my hand just does what my mind hears.

Can you hear that I don't use a pick when I play?

Me too, I'll trim my nails down to nothing because I hate when they catch on the strings. I use a pick, a pick and fingers and just fingers on guitar, a pick only on mandolin, fingers only on uke and bass.

I washed it and it shrunk!

That's the "Stairway to Heaven" of uke music for a lot of uke players. The guy playing is the originator of this version and there's a boatload of covers and transcriptions out there. I bought a uke immediately after watching this video..... We all have different motivations.

Guitarm style mandolin? Or mandolin style guitar?

I washed it and it shrunk!

I must've missed that one,I'll search it. Another cool thing about ukes is that you can get a nice one for much less than a guitar.:guitar:

Can you hear that I don't use a pick when I play?

That's funny,I'm the exact opposite. If I'm just out of the shower or I just got done washing dishes I won't play guitar because I want my fingertips to harden up.:D:guitar: It would probably work, but I put myself in the finger sounds are cool camp.I've heard of people micing the hands of...

I washed it and it shrunk!

My point is,if you know how to play guitar you can play uke immediately. You can play all the same chord shapes, you'll just be in a different key. If you're looking to be a hardcore uke player then take the time out to learn the differences, but if you just want to play chords you're aleady...

I washed it and it shrunk!

See,you were being difficult.:p What I and the other poster are saying,is that you can play a uke like a guitar capoed on the fifth fret.Is that technically correct enough for you,hmmmm?:D

I washed it and it shrunk!

Big uke fan BTW,it is the original travel guitar and it's a great instrument for kids because it only has four nylon strings which are easy on soft hands and a neck that's great for little hands. Everybody should have at least one.

I washed it and it shrunk!

Now you're just being difficult.:rolleyes:Explain yourself!:p I have two ukes and I tune them just like a guitar capoed on the fifth fret, the top string is high and that's the only difference.

    Modern Fender Amps

I've heard guys playing Deluxe Reverbs in small clubs and I was always impressed.Mostly blues and alternative music, nothing heavy tone wise.

    applause by ovation

I liked Ovations because the ones I had had fast easy almost electric like necks. We would play four hours and do leads on acoustic,so they were very easy on the hands.
