By the way, that eBay link I posted is a good example of an Xpanded being listed as an EX (which it is not). However, right now it's a GREAT buy at around $200 for the VS, the effects, and a CD-Rom. It will possibly still be a good buy at over $300.

I'll second recording direct. I can also help to record a direct track along with a mic'ed track and later blend them according to taste. Compression is also our bass recording friend. ;) ;)

Yeah. The Trademark 10 allows for both a decent direct sound and a decent mic'ed sound. However, I'd personally still prefer a good low power tube amp. If you can't afford the tube amp, the Trademark 10 is a good compromise.
