Roland Juno D and G experts needed....

Ps!!! Congrats on getting the 'G', but don't let it intimidate you. There is an instructional DVD available that is extremely helpful. You can find it on Amazon under Roland Juno G. Definitely worth the 35 bucks!

The patch is PR-A 076, or... If you look under instrument groups, it's listed under the "Mallet" category. Have fun!!

Another Poll...What Desk Do You Use...

I WISH I had a Mackie... I'm using a Behringer 32 channel board. This is the board that landed Behringer in a lot of legal hot water with Mackie. It's a copy of one of the Mackie 32 channel boards. Anyway, it works well for me (lots of sends/receives/inserts) and I only payed $350.00 for it.

Roland Juno D and G experts needed....

I don't know much about the Juno D, but... The G has a very good steel drum sound. Roland has always had good steel drum sounds. I have an XP 10 with excellent steel drums too. I bought the Juno G (slightly) used on CL for $550.00 about this time last year(!) It's basically a mini-Fantom X...

    Recording Rainfall

I've actually used one of those sound machines... for sleep in the past. At the time, I simply mic'd it onto 1 track and overdubed the other for stereo. It worked well for me.

    Another OD Thread (Fulltone)

What about the BK Butler Tube Driver... Fulltone's are great btw, but I bought a BK Butler Tube Driver for $100.00 off CL and it is everything I ever wanted in an overdrive pedal! Eric Johnson uses one and so does, I believe, David Gilmour. For "distortion/fuzz" I use my good old tried and...

    Analog synth with MIDI question

I have a Sequential Circuits Six Trak w/Midi... in, out, thru. I have run modules through that from time to time. I also have a Memorymoog minus midi...I have thought for years of getting a midi to CV converter, but I don't really need it. I usually use it as a stand alone in my studio. I...

Hooking up two Keyboards and a Rack Module???

Well, I can't help you with patch development, BUT... if you're going to be integrating these 3 units (and very nice units they are...I'm dying to get me hands on a used Triton), you might want to think about getting a Midi Solutions Quadra Thru Box (about $100.00 at Guitar Center). I've got...

    Drum Machine Recommendations?

I have an Alesis SR 16... Boss DR 660, my good old Alesis HR 16. They all have something to bring to the table, and even though, they say the SR 16 is a bit dated, what is dated these days? It works great in my rig. They are all very capable units, and are NOT midi'd up to my Tascam...

    Absolutely the last two`s

Now, I'm listening to the 2nd tune... Even the imperfections feed the song. This number has the same vibe as old Marillion (the Fish era). I really do feel like I'm in a time warp. Keep 'em coming, or at least let me know where I can download your tunes...great stuff!

    Absolutely the last two`s

Hell, I'm sold! Strangely wonderful! Shades of Genesis, Jethro Tull, Caravan, and (as I've stated before) Crimson, Yes, Nektar...I've been lamenting the early to mid 70's progressive scene for years, preferring to lose myself in the music of the Flower Kings, and Theives Kitchen (these days)...

    Any one try Roland Juno-G?

It's my primary board... I bought my Juno G damn near brand new off of CL for $500.00! It's a great keyboard (although, like many Roland's, can be a pain if you like to do your own programming). I use it to control 3 other synths (Access virus ti desktop, Korg MS 2000R, Novaton Nova, Dave...

    Last one I post.

Uh, Wha? Oops, for a minute I thought I was back in '72. Fantastic stuff! I'm amazed at how "vintage" this sounds. Love the organ, guitar tracking, and MELLOTRON (or perhaps Memotron?)! Even the vocals, though up, "seem" somewhat down in the mix (this is a good thing) reminding me of old...

Questions About Buying a New Synth

Definitely go for the Triton or the M50!!! They are both very solid keyboards vs. the X50 which is damn nearly a toy. I would LOVE to get my hands on a Triton Extreme, or M50. I currently have quite an arsenal though so I don't see it happening (Roland XP10, Juno G, Alesis Micron, Access...

    Tascam DP-02

I've got the DP02 CD... and I've found it to be a great deck! It has two inputs, so I was using a small Behringer mixer to handle all of my instruments...just went mixer outs to DP02 ins and I was good to go. Also, there is no compressor on the DP02...I used an outboard (Alesis 3630), plus a...

    Pre-amp for DP-02 ?

Check out... Presonus. They make good preamps (although I use the preamps on my mixer so I have no need for an outboard).

    Arp Heads Sound Off

Since no one responded, I guess I will... Well Tim, since I posted this thread, I have added (to my Juno G rig) a Novation Nova (desktop version of the Super Nova). I have also added a Dave Smith Evolver (which is really very cool), and a Roger Linn Adrenalinn III (as I also play guitar and...

    Leslie?

I have been searching for years... for something that could get me to the Leslie sound (especially with regard to guitar) and have found that nothing comes close to the real thing. Unfortunately, I don't have the space or cash for a Leslie speaker + preamp to run a guitar (although I did just...

    RE: 2488 Stereo Mix!

Yep, got the channels panned... For some reason, I'm back to stereo...I was linking inputs E and F to channels 7 and 8 (and tieing them together)...I decided to see what would happen if I linked to channels 1 and 2 and presto! I'm back to stereo, BUT I wanted to record on tracks 7 and 8 and...
