    Guitar electronics issue??

Try plugging in another guitar and cord, eliminate those first, since that would be easiest. Your problem is almost certainly a bad ground.... just hope it's not your new amp.

    "Calling on You"

YAY!!!! Thanks, Mr.Strat. Thanks for the affirmation, and all the great advice. I'll turn the leads up a bit, that will sound better. Maybe do a little EQ on the snare on the outtro. To make the song build, and "soar," what would you think about a more pronouced build-up in the bridge, and...

    Psych Ward - Greg_L original

That's cool mang! I'm not gonna lie... it pretty much rocks... :D The drums are a rockin'... normally I don't like to hear much of a ride bell, but it works well here, The guitars sound great... what amps didja use? The vocal harmonies were sweet! I liked the way you arranged them, so that they...

    Always Be - New Song

OK, so.....nice song! I diggit, truly. I know nothing about Garageband, other than it comes free on a mac, and record digital audio in a multitrack fashion....so the suggestions I'm going to make may or may not be possible in GB, I haven't a clue. If they aren't, then I bet your firestudio came...

    "Calling on You"

Thanks Joe! I was thinking about adding a third harmony on there. I'll try it and see! As far as what amp I use, that's always a toss up. The main rhythm guitars on this one were recorded with an all tube Mesa Boogie Express 5:25, straight in. The little lead lines in the beginning, I don't...

Super cool and way fun song. :) What do you think?

Actually, the changes are C#, A and B bass notes. That would certainly imply a C#m. The problem is that you've shifted the whole tonal center. When you play in C#m, you are actually playing in E major... Your song here is B, with it's relative minor or G#m. You've changed the key for the solo...

    "Calling on You"

Yep.... vox are too loud.... and the BGV need some de-essing.... maybe the lead vox too. Thanks Mike! BY the way... many of the songs I write have that U2 vibe.... I love it, but it only goes so far.... sooner or later you gotta look at something else.... which is hard for me, because I really...

Super cool and way fun song. :) What do you think?

Nice and loud mix. That's good. Singer sounds pretty good, kind of like George Micheal. The drum loops get grating in a hurry. I like the melody of the song, and the chord progression. I'd find a new drum samples.... maybe somthing kind of low-fi, sort of hip-hop instead of the house loops you...

    Ocd

Thanks Ray! I can't for the life of me figure out why the bass is wobbling in the beginning. I think it's something in the original recording... that somehow his bass was swelling/wobbling like that.... I have no idea why/what. I've compressed the dog pooh out of it and it's better than when I...

    "Calling on You"

Here's one of my songs. The rhythm guitars were recorded with my Mesa Express 5:25 right after I got it. I think the guitars are a bit thin, but they sit well in the mix, I think..... What do you think? http://www.lightningmp3.com/live/file.php?id=14838 Peace! ~Shawn
