hello :) this is the ONLY modification i plan to do to my ACMP73 because it seems to just be soldering. And i can "kinda" do soldering. however, i am certainly a newb with it, so if anyone could help with a detailed, "for dummies" explanation of this, i would REALLY appreciate it. first off...

as long as the pre with the eq off works fine, im fine with the 81. btw not to be a nazi but in this context its "teeming" :D

are there differences between the preamps on the 73 and 84 vs. the 81?

dur the noise virtually disappeared when i put the preamp far away from any power sources.... kinda sucks but it works.

the production is "ok" to my ears, but that is probably myspace. There is an awful lot about it that screams "indie" to me.
