Ok, it can only do 4 tracks of 176 or 192. Now what I want to figure out is whether or not two alesi can be hooked up to one computer for 16 tracks at 96kHz.
And can I get 8 inputs at 96kHz on ADAT? I got the S/Pdif working two channels at 96kHz...
Does anyone know if I can use my pc with a regular soundcard (line in, mic in) as a compression loop? I use reaper and don't know if I can do something like this in the program. I'd want to use a mixer preamp, and send a line signal to the pc and have it return with effects.
I am recording...
We'll definitely all be in the same room, that's what the headphone amp is all about, in the upper right. But the bass amp we have doesn't have direct out so I'm not sure how we'll do it yet.
Tell me what part of this is stupid, if not the whole basic idea. I'm gearing up to record - we have two rooms and bass and guitar will be separated by a couch and other random materials. The main mics will be a behringer b-2 pro/mxl 604 on drums (with individual drum mics), ES-57 on guitar...
help!
The manual says that you can't connect ADAT at anything other than 44.1 and 48kHz sample rates. If I got an ART preamp to connect to it, would I be able to use the s/pdif at 88.2kHz? I can't seem to find the rates s/pdif will work.
I was looking forward to high sample rates, but I'm...
I'm looking at possibly purchasing a setup including these pieces - they both have ADAT inputs and outputs, but would i be able to synch the clocks on them? The ART has a wordclock connector, but the motu doesn't, from what I can tell.
Thanks...
FUCK YOU dude! If you can't tune a drum, you should just shoot yourself and all of your family members, because you're worthless! SCUM!
:D
Seriously, though, what kind of snare and what kind of sound are you looking for, and what do you not like about it? Curious.
And if you love...
Thanks for the replies, guys. I have looked at reviews for the Audiotrak and I haven't heard of any driver issues...
I would be using external phantom power, obviously, since 12v it's worthless. Also, I'll be using it to record a band, so I thought that maybe all the outputs would be worth...
I know the ratio of users for the delta is much higher, but does any more knowledgeable person have any advice over the Audiotrak Maya 1010 and the MA Delta 1010? I searched for posts but couldn't find any.
Keep in mind I can get this linked Audiotrack for $230 new.
Audiotrak...

This is a good contition toa multitrack. From Beck's description:
"You record tracks on it just like you would on a DAW – up to 8 at once, by selecting any or all of the REC buttons across the front panel (right below each bargraph meter). You can use the simple mixer on it to mix your tracks...
I have played paino for around 10 years, 5 on a very nice upright. I bought the casio px-300, and I am extremely happy with it. I am not a professional piano player, but I can't stand unwieghted keyboards, and this one does everything I want with a really professional sound for a great price...
I wrote in another thread how I like complex sounding cymbals...well, this guy has it pretty much figured out. He can make a ZXT sound like a thousand bucks. He has soundclips of all the cymbals here.

I'm talking about A's, K's, Z's etc...I understand why people like Zildjians, but most of them to me sound so clear/mass produced/bland...almost like computer cymbals. They have a great hi end ping and they're so clear...but they lack complexity. I'm not talking about wash, I'm talking about...
No man, you misread me - I meant that if it were a drummer asking for guitar in a guitar forum, it easily could have more likely turned into a bitter contest with the guitarists dissing each other........
I find drummers (being less popular) generally are much more amicable towards one another.
