No. Not for mastering. I've found it handy for tuning P.A. systems with a ECM800, but this is not a mastering tool.

Better list everything you have first, w/specs if neccesary. i.e. What kind of PC/Mac you have and what software. Seriously. Down to the cables you have. People will have a better idea what you need then.

There is no answer to this. Different mics have different frequency responses, as do different voices, preamps, speakers, headphones etc. What mic/preamp/soundcard are you using ? What is your recording space like ? I have never rolled off the high end from a vocal. I have tamed some...
