Just for the record, a friend of mine got a 44, and I did a quick test recording of a drum kit and stereo keys using my 44 and his together (all 8 inputs). I recorded seven minutes 24bit with no problems (although there was a slight phasey sound which I put down to my drum mic positioning). Nathan

You have to zoom RIGHT in on the two waveforms and see if the curves line up together, I'm not sure if you can do that on your machine. pAp

I think Tex is saying that if the compressor/gate is not actually being used during the tracking process, then patch it out, as the shorter the physical signal path the cleaner the signal. pAp

I've been using the one for the 44 pretty much since it came out, and I've had no problems whatsoever for what it's worth. I use 98SE and Cool Edit, which uses MME. Cheers, Nathan

Win98SE stripped down to the bare necessities and optimized for audio (DMA enabled on HD's, permanent swapfile size, defrag often etc. ) is still the best option I think. XP has too much unnecessary crap tacked onto it IMHO. Nathan

Because you have a handy volume control for your headphones and monitors on your desk then. You should try using the channel inserts instead of the main outs also to recod into the Delta...and set the output in the Delta sofware to 'Monitor Mixer' Nathan
