Ashes and Trees - new original

I like the song itself a lot. I thought the vocals sounded really good. I wouldn't do them over. I like the sound of the cello. Yeah, I could tell it was done with a keyboard. I have this issue with my stuff too. So what? If it sounds good who cares.

New Song - On The Edge

Really impressive. I don't have any suggestions, to me it sounds really polished. I enjoyed it!

    Indian Punk Rock Mix

I thought this sounded pretty good overall, with two main exceptions: The drums weren't loud enough, in general, and especially in a few places where they should have had center stage and come up a bunch in volume. The other thing was that I didn't think the super-high-pitched backing vocals...

    Easter Hip Hop tune.

What the hell was that? I actually really like it. The vocal that is from 10 seconds in to about 37...I appreciate the heavily affected style, but I think it needs something else. It sounds a little thin and the vocal imperfections can be heard too well. Not sure what I would do with it, maybe...

Choose Your Weapons - been a while... :)

Wow, this is great, and different. I agree it sounds epic. I think the lyrics are very good and the vocal delivery is fantastic. I don't think that not having a chorus is a drawback (not sure if you were suggesting that), I think it works very well with the one line refrain. Listening on...

    Original Song (I'm Depressed)

The tone of the girl's voice, and the words. It made me want to watch Empire Records and buy some Doc Martens. In a good way.

    Original Song (I'm Depressed)

That was awesome! I think I just time-travelled back to the 90s. The only suggestion I have is that at about 30-40 seconds in, I kind of wanted there to be some 16th notes with the drums, maybe high hat. To add some more energy. But I love it as is too.

    Key

Interesting to read how others do it. Since I write on piano, pretty much always C or A minor in order to simplify things. Then I transpose to give myself a better chance of hitting the notes. Sometimes this does mess up my arrangement though...like the bass part sounds great but now I have to...

    Wanted Dead or Not Alive....

I love the title. I think the vocals are terrific. I agree the snare is a little dull sounding. Also I feel like the high hat needs more reverb. This sounds really polished and is a very good song. Sorry no opinion on the Carpenters.

Theme song for a podcast (you have 20 seconds, right?) - Regdar and the Fighters

I like the pitchiness of the last note. It's a comedy show, I thought it was on purpose. I'd leave it.

    Original Song (I'm Depressed)

Hi Nola, I thought the music was great, but the vocal needs work. I am a pro-autotune activist. Also, your song reminded me of Weezer's Buddy Holly...sounds like they used a doubled vocal. Maybe be that would sound good on your song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kemivUKb4f4

    Turn around and face it

I like the second version better too. I like the sound of your voice...dark and creepy. (Hopefully that's what you're going for. Sorry if it's not.)

    The Bullet on its Way

Bubba po: Thanks...yeah I guess those drums are pretty loud. I'll experiment with that. I'd appreciate hearing what you think after you listen on your monitors. I always have issues in that on my monitors and headphones, the bass sounds really quiet, and in the car it sounds super loud. It's...

    The Bullet on its Way

ido1957: I will admit that the "perfect unison" is perfect because it's the same take, pitch shifted! I will try moving the reverb around. Thanks for the idea. VomitHatSteve: I suspected the verse vocals were a little low, I will make them a little louder. I didn't switch registers...but I...

    The Bullet on its Way

Thanks--I will listen to it louder but I think I know the place you mean. I lowered the volume on the harmony vocals in the chorus to fight that but it's still a problem. Don't assume anything's on purpose...

18 years old learning to produce!

Hello Chillez, Very cool. I enjoyed listening. What jumped out to me was that the panning seems to jump back and forth a lot and was making it hard for me to chill. Also, I think it would help a lot if you quantized the keyboard part (really all of it that isn't quantized I guess).

    In need of feedback please

I like the overall dark sound of this. Could be really interesting when done. I can imagine it starting as is and then drums coming in....that would be cool.

    I never had the strength!

This is truly great. Really fun to listen to. I didn't have any criticisms until I read the other comments, and now I do agree that the vocal is too dry. I don't think the bass is too loud, but then again I think my bass is often too loud and dark for others. Really great song writing though...

    "Trouble" --acoustic rock original

This is really amazing. I love the laid-back groove of this one. To be honest commenting on the mix is not really my strength, so I'll tell you the other things I hear. The backgrounds such as "None at all" sounded a little off to me. The rest of the vocals sound professional-grade, but not...
