    Audio Buddy vs DMP3

The MXL991 is the same mic as the MXL 603 (do a search), but then with upgraded electronics, so I've heard... It's a great mic! I also love my MXL990 :), and my DMP-3 :) Stan.

    singing in tune....please help

I'm the guitarist in my band and I sometimes sing background vocals whilst playing guitar. Now, if I practice at home, or sing without a mike, everything sounds fine and I'm perfectly in tune. Now as soon as I sing in the mike (and hear myself louder through my monitor than I'm hearing myself...

    I take it all back!!

Well, but look at it this way: how long have you spent installing the thing, a week? okay, that's bad, but if it serves you and your recordings for five years, it's been worth it I think :) Good luck:) Stan.

    I take it all back!!

FWIW: I had a serious stability problem when I installed the USB drivers for my keyboard (Yamaha PSR-2100) on my PIV computer. Everything was just fine on my PIII pc, running the same OS (WinXP), although the PIII was running XP Pro and the PIV ran XP Home Edition... I never got it to work right...

    Behringer MIC2200 - this is sooo coool :D :D

Yeah, I didn't intend to blow it up, and as the arcticle said, it's still a good unit for the price, but I just thought this was funny... My MIC200 does not have the LED though, and the toob glows... Stan.

    Fret buzz - please advise

What snow lizard said actually summed up pretty much what I was thinking...but just one question: I have changed strings to a heavier gauge, and after a week I changed back to the gauge I was using before... could it be I just have to wait for the neck to 'set back'? Do I require a setup after...

    Fret buzz - please advise

Hi, I hope I don't get flamed for this but... After changing the strings on my Les Paul copy to a heavier gauge (I used to have very light strings), I noticed a sever buzz from my frets when sliding bar chords, or doing anything really... I lifted the bridge, so the action got higher, but that...

MIDI lag. How do I fix it?

If you're running ASIO drivers, I would try Wuchsel's ASIO4ALL, which lets you set the latency with a slider. If you set your latency too low, you'll hear crackles and pops in your sound, because the processor / harddisk / RAM / soundcard can't keep up. If you set for higher latency, the PC has...

Sound I'm looking for.. (sound clips!)

Well, to be honest, yes, it is my keyboard, but I'm sure I've heard a guitarist I know do this sound, or something that's very similar...this country-like sound, how do you get it, or how do you get close to it? The samples were just to illustrate the sound, I should have known you guitar-guys...

Sound I'm looking for.. (sound clips!)

Hi, I'm looking to achieve this guitar sound: Complete with band Guitar only I have a Les Paul copy and a Vox AD30 amp, what I'm doing now is dial in the Tweed 4x10 model (Fender Bassman, supposedly), and on my guitar I use the bridge pickup with volume and tone maxed out, and I pick close to...

how many of you are self taught?

I have had keyboard / piano lessons for about 7 years now, but on guitar I am learning on my own. Works great, plus I don't have the money and time for guitar lessons. But it's working out really well. Something that really boosts your skill is experience. When I stepped into the first choir I...
