Anything out there that sounds as genuine as the fractal ii rack unit?

Black star has some decent tube pedals out but i am looking for something that is a little more versatile and sounds more genuine than software. That unit is perfect but that price tag.

real time pitch shifting in daw

Well the pitch shifter is for guitar not vocals. Basically i want it for lower tunings.I have a locking trem so it's one hell of a hassle to do thi manually.

real time pitch shifting in daw

I don't care too much if its free or not. Just as long as its worth the money.

real time pitch shifting in daw

Anyone know of any to download. Cubase has a pitch shifter but it has to process, leaving me only supposing what I recorded will sound like. Haven't found any stand alone vsts that do this.

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

The problem absolutely was my pickups. I was using an Agile guitar with cephus pickups. To get any clarity out of anything i had to take out a lot of bottom end. I just had full shreds installed in my Jackson and i can add as much low to it and everything is still so crisp!

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

Thanks chill. Really appreciate it. All my nobs are at zero, nothing is clipping but is close. I think i probably just need to bring things down and maybe use some compression to boost levels after i get those volume levels down? Here is a better question, what as far as decibles should i be at...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

This is also just a mix not a master. Bass seems to come up considerably on master. Is this wrong as well?

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

So my question would be, if my bass instruments ( like my kick and my bass guitar) are almost clipping, should i just bring the volume levels down to get it to come through?and if so, do i bring up the overall level of everything after?

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

Thanks rod. I'm not an acdc fan by any means nor of there tone, but doesn't mean it won't work. I'll give it a shot and repost.

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

ROFL I am very very OCD when it comes to my music and especially my guitar tone. I have heard people get better tones with POD software though and have no idea how. I take that as a compliment, so not the wrong way at all lmfao thank you. I guess that means I need to start looking at other...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

I can make this "Djent" more by adding some presence or contour, but in the mix it just sounds like stabs. If I make the guitar any lower in the mix, it also sounds like stabs.

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

Please excuse the sloppy playing. I haven't had much time today, but I did raise and add more copression to the kick, and made the bass bassier. Its insane how much different it sounds with that damn little button on or off. The tone on the guitar I changed a bit but its not what I am looking...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

So thinking more about what you said, do you think the volume compromises the "warmth" or lack of with the amp. Am I not getting chug chug with the palm mutes and instead getting a shh shh because its an amp sim? I haven't heard many people demoing VSTs getting it. I am very distraught on this...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

Lol well I have been trying that this whole time. I did read it. Sorry if it sounded like I didn't. The shhhshshsh noise isn't back round noise I am referring to. Not only do I have a gate on it, but I keep my gain low, and before putting a gate on it, I try to make the gain as low as possible...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

Will do sometime tomorrow, that is post a new mix. I could send you a rough one now to show off what I mean of the guitar tone. It almost sounds as if I have too much high end. Maybe more of a high end cut? I brought down levels and kicked up some others. Things are coming through better but the...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

So the bottom end has come up quite a bit now that I can hear a bit of whats going on, but as the bottom end comes up I get much of the same problem as I did with the bass boost. I hear more of an annoying scratch than I do that djent tone. Soloed you hear the djent in there fine, but in the mix...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

To everyone replying that there is no bass. I do appreciate the honesty :-) that's what I am here to get. To comment back on this though, that issue has been addressed and fixed. As mentioned prior, I have a bass boost button on the back of my monitor, and when asked about my monitors and people...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

So already without the bass boost button it sounds a lot clearer. I am face palming... well... my face off right now. I can hear what you mean by no low end now as well. That bass guitar could really stand to come out a bit more. It was super huge before. That alone was a big help.

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

I have a set of M audio monitors. There cheep but there better than computer speakers :-P. There is a bass boost button on them and I just noticed it was on. That may have been part of the problem :-P. The room its self is a tiny apartment, so as for acoustics, well lets just say I'm in front of...

Getting rhythm guitar to it in the mix

So it may sound thin because I am trying to get that djent tone but find if I add low end on to it, it takes away from the clarity of that "djent". Is there a magical frequency I am not tapping into on the low end of the spectrum that keeps this clear? Also could it be the impulses I am using?
