A lot of Behringer stuff has ground loop problems, especially using unbalanced lines. Switch to a balanced configuration or use an isolation transformer (such as Ebtech's Hum Eliminator).

Sorry Tom, that's not correct -
The SM57 has a sloped presence boost between 2K and 10K with a peak of about 7db at 5k. See published spec at http://www.shure.com/pdf/userguides/guides_wiredmics/sm57_en.pdf
The SM58 is virtually identical to the 57 except for a dip in the presence boost...
Yeah... what Skippy said!
I don't think my DAT's been turned on since I got the Masterlink! That thing's freakin' amazing even more so after upgrading to s/w V2.0 (and the upgrade was a no brainer...)
Skip... if you haven't upgraded still yet - do it, you won't be disappointed.

Profselim,
I personally would stay away from NS10s - many DO use them, as many that do also HATE them. You can learn to mix on essentially any monitor you buy, so why not buy something that doesn't hurt your ears when listening. The most important characteristic (in addition to logistic...
In addition, don't route thru any processor that is not being used (bypass doesn't cut it). If the EQ is not needed, take it out of the chain COMPLETELY, same with any of the others. You want to minimize the signal path as much as possible - every piece you stick in between the mixer and the...
If the mixer is equipped with more than a master (left/right) buss, then each input channel has switches to select the buss you want the signal to appear at. In a simple stereo mixer with only a left/right master buss, the PAN controls dictate where the signals appear.
In a simple mixer, you...
Mixers usually have any number of inputs, and multiple pairs of outputs called "busses". The minimum busses for a stereo mixer would be the left/right master buss. Other mixer configurations consist of a master buss (left/right) and then additional 2/4/8 busses which give you 2/4/8 outputs...
The answer is - which ones of the 5 you've narrowed it down to sound better to you? You're the one that has to listen to them and learn how to mix on them! Let your ears decide for you, not someone else's opinion....
 And please don't say you're going to buy monitors without listening to...
Some talent sounds great with an SM57, other s don't... if you like the sound then stick with it - but it may not work for everybody. You don't really need to buy a new mic until you come across a vocalist that the SM57 doesn't work on!
