Roland JC-120, should I get it?

I have my own ear, and I've heard some good cleans from solid states. I honestly don't care what you guys think about tubes being better than SS, for now I just want a personal amp that I could use with what I desire.

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

I was thinking about the Fender FM212, but some have told me to not get that amp, and get something a bit more better or like a Roland. I've also considered a Carvin SX 2x12, but I've heard problems with external effects making extra noise/crackles. The reason I'm so concerned about an FX loop...

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

I don't obviously want it....I did really want it for the past couple weeks, but I've been re-thinking about it. It seems like it's too pricey and I really want to save a few hundred dollars and buy something more cheaper but has the same things I need.

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

well I don't need the chorus, but I'd like the stereo. I'd like a 2x12, around 100 watt. I already mentioned what I really want in my first post, and I'd like an amp that can give me most of that.

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

well I've been recommended to use multi-fx pedals with the Roland to play metal, but I haven't heard any sound samples or opinions on whether people have really tested a boss gt-6/gt-8 or any other other pedal with the amp. I did try a JC-90 at GC with a boss pedal, and it sounded decent even...

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

I tried a JC-90, but not 120 because it was broken at GC. I couldn't find the JC's at any other guitar shops nearby, so I can't really test them to the fullest potential. I tried a boss gt-6 on JC-90, and it sounded pretty decent even though it wasn't in the effects loop. That's why I'm asking...

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

well I've tried the Fender FM65 and of course my own practice amp, and I am satisfied with the clean tone, but I need effects/amp models because that's what my ears desire. So if the Roland does a better job playing external effects/multi-fx pedals than the fender at both low and high volumes...

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

that may be true, but I'm satisfied with low volumes with my fender practice amp. So I may be satisfied with the roland if it compares well with the fender. I've been thinking about buying a Fender FM212R for 300 bucks, it's a 100 watt solid state, that has good cleans and has an effects loop...

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

I'm definitely into metal, but am seeking a sweet clean sound that will let me use the boss pedals to pump up the distortion, that's all I care about. I'll check into the 120 a little more. Thanks for your input.

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

I'm just afraid to buy this amp and not have a low and quiet, but playable volume level. I've tried the JC-90 at GC, but their 120 was broken. The JC-90 sounded pretty good, and I tried the boss gt-6 on it and it was still sounding good.

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

have you played the roland jc-120 though? I would really like input from people who've played the amp.

Roland JC-120, should I get it?

Do you guys know how the Roland JC-120 sounds at low volumes for practice? I've heard good things about this amp, such as the cleans, chorus, fx loop, and of course the massive 120 watts of power. I've heard that this amp is very very loud. But I'm wondering whether I can use this amp to play in...

Fender FM212R How is this SS amp?

where can I find a used roland for 300-400? I checked ebay, but I don't like the return policies on the sellers.

Fender FM212R How is this SS amp?

the only problem is that the JC-120 is beyond my price range.

Fender FM212R How is this SS amp?

I tried the FM65 (I think that's what it's called, 65 watts); the cleans were good, but the distortion was mediocre. Fine with me though if 212 is similar, because all I want is power, reliability, and multi-effects capabilities (effects loop). I read reviews at harmony-central, and...

Fender FM212R How is this SS amp?

well I'm sure I'll get a new amp by then, and I'll probably be gigging then so I'd get a tube or whatever works for that. I'm not gonna use this SS for 10 years here, that'd be ridiculous. And I'd really like to know more about the fender fm212 first than these other amps you mentioned. I want...

Fender FM212R How is this SS amp?

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=guitar/s=amps/search/detail/base_pid/480723/ Above is the link to the 300 dollar 100-watt Fender amp. I was wondering if any of you have any experience using this amp. How are the cleans/distortion? How is the effects loop and does it work well with big...

    tubes pros and cons?

I've been playing for 3 years. I've heard about tubes having switches where you could go from 60W to 30W to 15W or something so you can hear the tones at low volumes, but I don't know what amps that are around 300-500 would have that feature. I probably wont be turning my volume knob past 1 a...

    tubes pros and cons?

I think you're right. What sounds good is up to each person. I can understand using Tubes if I was gigging a lot, but I've never gigged before and I'm usually just playing guitar when I practice.
