I am kind of a beginner at recording and I want to know what I can do with the limited hardware/software I have, to make my guitar intro sound more like a stereo recording?

how can I learn more about using guitars, mixers, preamps, soundcards for a beginner setup? I find myself very confused right now.
If I were to get any of these equipments, would I be able to plug in generic microphones and stereo speakers using converters?
one question I have with the 2496 is how I'd be able to plug the audiobuddy into the soundcard? I hate those rca inputs, I'd rather have dedicated 1/4" ins/outs.
As for the mic, I probably won't be getting a nice mic soon...maybe in a month or so. I have a cheap one right now that is sufficient...
what does "impedence mismatch blues" mean? suppose my setup was to directly plug in my guitar into the mixer, and the mixer is plugged into an M-audio soundcard, and the soundcard is plugged into a powerful computer, wouldn't that work out well with a clean dry guitar sound so I can use plugins...
I am wondering what you guys think about the Behringer ub802 or ub1002 mixer? It is a cheap cost mixer for around $50-60 bucks, and I am tempted to buy it because it has some MIC pre's and 1/4" inputs.
Now before I ever purchase stuff, I like to ask people with experience and I am here asking...
the poster above said I can you sb live with the mia. So I'm wondering if you know anything about using two different soundcards. For example, the sblive for regular audio use, and the mia just to record?
well right now I'm a lonely musician with a guitar and mic. So probably one track at a time is the most I'll be recording using the inputs. But I'll probably be using a program like Reason to record synths, drums, etc at the same time as I record my guitar. Will that work?
Are there any other...
I noticed that a lot of soundcards, including the mia midi, do not have a headphone jack, so I was wondering if I can buy a 1/8" to 1/4" converter to use with the Mia Midi input, for headphone use? Or is there another way to use headphones?
I need a midi interface so I can hook up a midi controller keyboard with my future pc. I have a very tight budget right now ($1500) for all my custom PC parts, audio interfaces, etc.
I have absolutely no experience or knowledge about midi interfaces or controllers, but I want to learn and I...
I asked some computer tech forum what ram to get and they told me to get the ocz platinum rev2 1gb. I don't know why, but they were OCZ tech employees. You think a regular 1 gb (2x512mb) pc3200 chip will work? I am just worried about the CAS latency being too high. Does that CAS latency matter...
That's good to hear despite the intel fans telling me about HT. What kind of ram do you have? I notice that RAM has a lot to do with how much you can multitask. Of course, I am going with the 1 GB (2x512mb) ram for my future pc.
I play 250 bpm sweeps and type 120 wpm at the same time. haha, j/k.
What about having like 2 or 3 different music programs at once, and rewiring them. For example, rewiring Reason to Pro Tools, and having Amplitube open for the guitar tones.
