A guitar player friend of mine decided he was going to restring and "set up" my MIM strat for me. Being a bass player I figured why not he certainly must know more about it than I. Heck he's got a '68 strat. Long story short, He takes steel wool to the fretboard and knocks a 1" splinter off:(...

Those are nice, my guitar player has one:) You can get them used in your price range any day. I've seen them new for abut $800.

Is your OEM a 15729? If so you can get the data for it here http://www.ofgb.org/ Just download the Musicians reference file. Bruce Gavin gives good advice at another board I frequent and has compiled tons of info on drivers. There ought to be more folks like him. Hope this helps you! Fletch

I have, 2 Peavey basses, a Cirrus 6 and an Axcelerator 4 2 Fenders, a Jazz bass and a Strat. The Cirrus and the Jazz get the most playing time.

A good friend of mine has the SX300C, I'm pretty sure it's the same amp with one more channel. It's an excellent amp!!! Sounds great and is plenty LOUD.
