Try to set a clean, crisp sound sound at the amp, then add the metal zone. Tweak the controls until you get a good sound (it's easy with the 3 band EQ). Mind you with a cheap guitar and amp there's only so much you can do. If you up the gain too much it may feedback regardless.

I agree with this poster. :) It's because when playing in the 4th position (on a C harmonica) you get G and F. (i7 basically). It sounds "bluesy" when you bend around on it too... I attempted harmonica once. I can play Piano Man and that Beatles song. ;)

It really depends on the song. If it's built on a bass groove (quasi-reggae) then obviously the bass comes first. BUT, if it's guitar based then guitar gets put down first.
