Yeah I've tried this at GC but theres so many 12 year olds attempting to play Sweet Child O Mine that I can't really hear anything. I need the amp in my bedroom, smoke a little, relax, and then play to really feel and make a decision. Oh well
Thing is i was set on the little Vox. Then I...
So. Which amp should I get? I can only play bedroom levels right now, but perhaps I should get an amp that will stay with me for the future?
Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Standard
Pedals: Holy Grail Reverb, Digitech Loop Station
Styles: Bluesy, Lead stuff as well as experimental pensive type...
Vox AC4TV?
I'm getting a used one for 150 bucks probably, thinking about changing out the speaker. Maybe something from Jensen? Anyone have any first hand experience?
I would really love to see this thread continue - wish I could post some pics of my favorites but I'm at work and everything is blocked.
In general though I'm in love with anything in a good mahogany cabinet - any woody earthy tones i love and tweed
Bugera V5

Tried it out at the GC today.
It is apparently a tube amp with a power attenuator and reverb and $150.
techincally exactly what I was looking for.
However since I now have the holy grail, I am still looking to get the Vox AC4TV...
A lot of people love delay, I'm not against it. but I don't want it yet. When I get to a point with the sound I have that I find myself envisioning a different sound, I'll look for new stuff.
I find most people go the other way around, they see cool pedals and try them out, I am trying to play...
So..
I feel pretty dumb but here's my question.
Right now I have a guitar, plugged into a Digitech Looping station, plugged into an amp. I can play, make loops, and such, then transfer them to my computer and play them in iTunes or whatever mp3 player. My question is, if I suddenly got an...
Hi all.
I have an epi lp standard, digitech looping station, and a shitty amp. I am having a great time just playing in my bedroom but am hurting for some reverb.
I will be getting the Vox AC4TV as my first 'real' amp (the one I have was free). and I want to add a reverb pedal.
Any...
This is a really good point - and I have played the Super and Vibro Champ XD's and really liked them. My question then is, on the Vox AC4TV it has the power switch for 1/4 1 and 4 watts respectively. Is this different from a power attenuator? I liked the idea of using 1/4 or 1 watt but cranking...
The Vox AC4TV looks like a nice option as well since it has the 1/4 1 4 watt option.
Edit: Is this a good deal? http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Valve-Jr--Half-Stack-772851-i1275082.gc
My inital feeling of that Tech-21 is good. hopefully I can find it somewhere to try it out first as I refuse to buy on the internet without hearing one. Looks nice tho :D
What about a Valve Junior and then modding it for reverb (59.95extra)?
So let me clarify my needs more and usage.
So I have the Digitech JamMan Looping Pedal. I absolutely love it. One issue is, I might want some preamp stuff so I can get it into the recording. Otherwise I am just playing stuff through an amp with effects, but that means on iTunes it's not part of...
