    A recording question of sorts...

I say don't be afriad to say something about it in pure and simple terms. You'd probably be doing them a huge favor. It's hard to see that stuff sometimes unless you're on the outside.

    Arturia Moog Modular

Anyone pretty familiar with this? I'm wanting to do 3 and 6 step sequences, but I can't figure out how to completely take steps out of the sequencer.

    the black keys

The label is what kills it. People hear that term and that's all they need. The fact of the matter is that drastically different recordings can enhance or ruin a bands sound. There's huge possibility for it to do more of the former, but unfortunately, there's not many people out there with...

    Bootlegging

Bootlegging rules, that's all there is to it. Especially nowadays because with Bit Torrent in full swing, there's no money involved whatsoever. From what I understand (and I could be wrong), there's nothing illegal about it so long as no money is exchanged. For me, I love it. I think it's...

    1950s/60s death metal?

Hell yeah, cool notion. I'm hearing Blue Cheer playing five minutes of diminished chromatic riffs.

    Solved Hardest part of songwriting?

My biggest problem is simply getting it done. I'm most happy with the end result when I blast through it in essentially one sitting. The more I think about it, the worse it gets, and more importantly, the more I lose interest in it. I'm completely crippled when it comes to coming back to...

1 software Compressor Bussed to all vocals?

It'll save on your CPU as well. I like to comp grouped vocals based on the song sections, it helps to give them some seperation. Like verse vocals as opposed to bridge vocals or what have you.

    Beatles in mono is great

I'm in complete agreement with this. I grew up as well with the American releases which were all stereo and still prefer them. I kept all the vinyl American releases, and I have all the British mono vinyls too. I prefer the sequencing on the British versions cause those were how the lp's were...

    Help to Rubber Soul

Yeah, all that stuff, and the fact that during that time the Beatles were making PHENOMINAL leaps and bounds in terms of ideas and creativity.

    Recommend a synth

Doom rules, and I'm a definate Ufomammut fan. I think they're doing extremely fresh things with synths. That having been said, I second the Alesis Micron. I'm way more of a guitar player than keyboard player, but I bought a Micron and fell in love with it. The size, durability, and price are...

    Most blatant clone ever

Sure, he's capable of a lot of different styles of great playing, but last I heard, Scott Henderson had suddenly morphed into Jeff Beck on his latest record.

    Most blatant clone ever

SRV wasn't a clone of anyone. Sure, there's a fine line between heavy influence and outright copies, but in my opinion, SRV was not the latter. There's as much Hendrix in his style as there is Lonnie Mack, not to mention a lot of others. SRV had an amazing talent of distilling all that stuff...

Great monitors, supurb shape. Only used about four months. I'm now upgrading. I think brand new they're $500. So you know, they have a little bit of hype on the low end making them great for hip hop and dance music mixing...

Yeah, check em out man. Sorry if I'm hijacking, but that's one of my top three or four favorite bands of all time.
