What should I do with this Roxul??

I think I will be looking closer at the 4" thick design with the holes. I'm stoked.

What should I do with this Roxul??

I don't have any pics but I had a bundle of rigid fiberglass and needed quick gobos to tame a room down I mean quick. The boys are on their way over. I used 2x2's framed around the 2" 2'x4' fiberglass, wrapped them with landscaping fabric and got 8 panels done in less than a hour. Worked really...

Has anyone here covered their ceiling in fabric?

One thing I did was use 6" roxul between joists covered with vapour barrier (not pretty) then installed a drop ceiling with 2'x4' 2" rigid fiberglass with cloth glued on the room side for asthetics. This worked very very well. I also double wrapped with bubble foil and taped any ductwork. Try to...

PT offerings is a bit confusing

I was running 002 rack with PT8, I just upgraded to a brand new Mac Book that's non firewire, I have to upgrade PT and cross my fingers for compatible drivers for my 002 and Mavericks, the upgrade to 9,10 or 11 is $399, I have a ton of RTAS plugins that aren't compatible with 11. Its funny how...

Should i use dual computer monitors?

An extra monitor is really cool, I use it for PT mix on one and edit on the other. Two 20" on a tower. Now I'm using a macbook and I'm gonna have to figure the best option myself.

    control room 14x12

My room dimensions are actually 14.4' x 11.5' with a door centered on the short wall. I'm assuming its probably better for mixing if the spkrs point across the longest span.

    control room 14x12

The plan is to build this cost effectively, (that's what I mean by no budget). We built our house last year and the money tree is bare but I have leftover construction supplies and I'll grab more supplies every payday, what I call the nickel and dime approach.

    Soundproofing Ductwork

I'm looking for ideas for soundproofing modern day HVAC ductwork. I'm working on a basement room in a brand new house. The plan is use 6" roxul between joists then a suspended 2" rigid fiberglass dropped ceiling. In the past I used 2 layers of foil bubble wrap on the furnace returns and taped...

    control room 14x12

I've got this room cleaned out and I'm about to get started. This is a very straight forward room and I've completed a more challenging shaped room in the past so this should rather smoothly. I plan to build this room with no budget so at best it should be a show of cost effective home studio...

    Basement rehearsal room issues!

This is for rehearsal? Keep subtracting panels till the room is live enough. For me rehearsal rooms are easy if you spend alot of time in there.

    Home Recording's Dirty Little Secret

I've got a pile of gear I had to have which now seems like junk and I've evolved from curious hobbyist to full bore home studio pack rat. I've never really finished anything more rewarding than the two mic demos I used to do with my old 8track. Now I'm moving and eventually building a new studio...

    How does it sound

Nice, you really hammered that 70's sound I wouldn't bring the snare up too much. Usually when I hear someone try to do this, something always sticks out like a soar thumb. Not the case here.
