    Best Audio Interface Under $400?

I had been searching recently for a similar interface. For vocals/acoustic mainly. The one that kept on getting recommended all over the place forums/articles was the M-Audio ProFire 610. Supposed to be very very good. Great Preamps & compatible with pro tools if you ever wanted to use that...

    Hip Hop Beats

Kick still sounds off. They all sound slightly behind the piano, the bass/kick part always comes in a millisecond late or something. Like the attack needs to be sharper, its very subtle. You can hear it most clearly when the piano loop ends/restarts. What tempo is this at ?

    Choosing the right Sequencer

Basically yeah, been taking down notes & thats how it was coming across. Going back over them i think Dr. Varneys right though, many of them are just saying they find pro tools to be "best" for audio recording/editing. Which is very general & probably just means they personally prefer it, but...

    Hip Hop Beats

Still out a little. Make sure its all perfect, put a click on at whatever your tempo is and make sure it all matches up. The piano also, as that might be whats subtly making the kicks sound out. It all has to be identical each time it runs through, if a note is a millisecond off, the kick with...

    Choosing the right Sequencer

?? I thought it does with pro tools. Not all interfaces work with it, thats why people have to spend a lot of money on certain ones when they own it. The only reason id have gone with Pro tools is if the LE version/m-powered etc provide better audio recording/editing as ive heard. If its just...

    Choosing the right Sequencer

Thanks for replies. I do like the look of FL studio from what ive seen, how its laid out. Seems pretty easy to understand. Havent been able to compare to much, just seems the programme isnt taken as seriously by most also from reading around. Ill try to download some demos of others. The...

Am I delusional? - Rock artist needs advice

Id say the songwriting to yeah. You only lose integrity if you're changing specifically to make others happier without liking it yourself, which isnt what im suggesting. Im saying it doesnt hurt to listen to others perceptions of what you're doing. If you ignore it you're making a very big...

Am I delusional? - Rock artist needs advice

As i say because you can use feedback to learn how to improve, as with anything. You may also end up liking the composition more based on others opinions of how it could be made better. Obviously its your choice whether you agree with the feedback & think it improves your music. If you dont...

Am I delusional? - Rock artist needs advice

I agree that you should be into it to make music you find satisfying personally, but ignoring others completely wont be massively helpful either. Learning how to make your music connect with others is a process also. One of the greatest things about music is its ability to effect others & cause...

    Choosing the right Sequencer

I know there'll be threads about the general "best" program available and all that so im not going down that route. I am wondering though if some are more tailored to certain situations than others. I have friends that use FL studio 9, so i was thinking of getting that. But from reading around...

Am I delusional? - Rock artist needs advice

New to the site, just saw this. Been songwriting for a while, so can give my views from that side of it on your first song. Six feet above ground. The verse is perfect the way you've written it, vocals sound kind of withdrawn & calmer. Guitars are reasonably gentle along side them (need to be...
