It didn't specifically goe into time code, unless I missed it. The issue is the MTC going off time when you do a punch in....anyone else?

I'm running midi drums in cakewalk via MTC from the D1624. Works fine, except when I punch in record. The moment it happens, there's a skip in the time code for a second or so and of course the drums go off beat. Is there some setting that can help out here? Any software update? anything...

I've got a 24/44.1K file, and I'm running the waves L1. I set the plug in to dither at 16 bit, and process. However, my file remains at 24 bit. What's wrong? Should the plug in process the file and bring it down to 16 bits? What in bejesus am I missing here??? should I RTFM? thanks.
