i have been told that power amps run most efficiently when turned all the way up so that's what i do and i just control the volume with my mixer. just be sure if you do it that way to start with the mixer volume ALL the way down and then move your sliders up accordingly.

i used to do the same thing. trust me, spend $79 and get a 2 channel audio buddy and you will get at least the same quality pres(probably better) and free up your alt 3/4 bus.

why not just run out from the card and into the board, then use the board's outs to the power amp? that's what i do and it's the only thing i use my behringer mixer for anymore.

a good rule of thumb i use is if i can't look at quite a bit of positive feedback, i don't bid on anything from anyone...maybe i'm just paranoid though.

just go to www.markertek.com they have premade canere cables at a very reasonable price.

why don't you buy 1 cable and test all the mics with it and decide from there if its worth it to you to buy more. then if you decided not to you would only be out $25 bucks.

wow, those are shockingly(at least to me) expensive. anything that is a little more on a project studio budget?

anybody got any suggestions for some decent mic stands for my project studio? i only have one now and it just doesn't cut it.

nevermind, i just got the 1010 instead. guitar satan apparently no longer carries the 66 without the omni i/o breakout box. so for the $150 difference i went ahead and grabbed the 1010.

i'm sold then. thanks alot.

if i got a delta 66, could i later ADD a 1010 and use both at the same time?

i'm trying to move some files over about half a measure and for some reason i can only get them to move whole measures at a time. any idea how i can change this?

i have been thinking about getting a roland groovebox to use as a drum machine/programming tool but i had a concern. i record in cubase, is there anyway i can synch the groovebox to cubase so when i push play on the groovebox, it starts recording in cubase? it would really make editing in cubase...
