Optical Lightpipe is great for transfering, Im not sure what it would have to do with mastering unless your talking about a clean signal, clean signals always help in mastering. also lightpipe has the least amount of loss, far beyond anything else i have used.

Mine does the same thing using nuendo, and i had somewhat the same question, I was wondering if its ok to just bring the master down to get the -6 to -12 or if i need to adjust the actual tracks.

Are you using effects on the track or adding them after, if you are adding them after go into your tracks and to effects and make sure you have the correct path checked for mastering, i dont remember all of the paths but its the one with the line loop over and loop under, I used a 2480cd forever...

Well I have Samplitude, T-racks and waves mastering bundle. So, out of those 3... I think maybe Samplitude... but its not like an obvious master bundle thing like t-racks, just new to finaling stuff.
