excellent points made by everybody. If you do not have a fan base and significant sales (like 10,000 units) Don't bother contacting them. They will not develop you. They do not want to do any real work. I guess that's why they got into the music biz.
I counted them they have about 130 artists in their roster. Thats pretty good for a indie label thats been around since 1997. Thats about the size of Epic mabey bigger. Has anybody here heard of one of these people? Do your research carefully.
Kevin I hope this is the real deal for you, I really do. I've never heard of these guys. That doesn't mean anything either, but it looks like if anything their a small indie label. If thats the case they have a huge stable of artists that would compete with Sony, which I think would be...
You could keep your background color the way it is, and put your big blocks of text like in the reviews in white boxes with black text. Just a thought.
The site is looking good. It might be a little dark as far as a background color since it appears most visitors will be doing alot of reading. I hear lighter background colors are less fatiguing when a site is information based ie this forum. Less fatigue people stay longer. Let me know what...
I used an AT4050 for my vocals on "slippery Road" You can listen for free at my site. It's similar to the 4033. It might give you some Idea of the AT line.
It takes alot of sound pressure to make that mic sound decent thats why people use it for screamin metal, guitar amps and snare. So I wouldn't be to far away from it with voice. Get close. You'll get a proximity effect, but that can be a good thing.
Looked at the soundcraft M series. I wonder how good their A/D conversion is. Anybody know? Their EQ seems limited with function, but I'm sure it sounds great. I guess parametric with Q would be to much to hope for.
Thanks for the clarification of my vaguries RevE. I always thought when you said condensor people assumed you meant non tube.
As in ...."Bring me the tube mic" ..."well I think we should use the condensor"...."I said bring me the tube mic dammit!!" :D
Giganva I've always wanted to try the Gefell mics. I'll let you know about the Germany thing it I get serious in that direction.
DJL Thanks it's good to be here.
RevE It sounds like even if I was going with a U87 I'd be better off with the Soundelux fet 7 as it emulates the old U87 & U47 with...
Hey DJL, They make wieghts especially for boom stands. Just check with a professional photographic supply store. Leg wieghts used for physical fitness will work perfectly.
Kiira-Nice to know I've arrived. :)
Middleman- Well the AT4060 would be alot cheaper for sure.
RevE-No I haven't purchased the U87 and am open to just about anything, After talking to Kiira and reading numerous reviews I'm thinking about getting Langevin DVC and working with my AT4050 & KSM...
Thanks DJL. I wanted to do a fun poll. Unfortunatly only girls can answer it, but guys can keep checking back to see if their doing okay. It's better than which one of my songs is your favorite (gag) poll. Thanks for the welcome. Any ideas for a good poll question are also welcome.
Thanks Kiira, mabey the DVC is the place to start my preamp collection.
I'll pick up a pair of telefunken tubes. How do I get my nude photo on Eveannas web site? How do I arrive? Who is Eveanna? :)
Glad that helped. The fact that you can reduce that noise level with the computer mix level makes me think cheap sound card. I do not record with PC so I can't recommend one, or even if that's the problem, but I'm sure there's some bright boys here on the forum that can help you from here.
It depends what your hearing. I wouldn't rely so much on the visual info, but on what your hearing. If what your hearing is unacceptable, it's unacceptable. True setting the threshold on a gate can be tricky. There might be gain boosted way up somwhere else on the mixer, like an aux return or...
