i would purchase the AT 4047.I have Sebatron and Great River Preamps and this mic suits both male and female voices very well.you may need to switch that low pass on the mic.
my recommendation ;)
i have not heard the Hamptone.i belive the sytek might sound very much like the fet deesign .transparent if you will which is why prefer some of the signals i am getting.
is the burr brown option a big difference?
Shure KSM27, KSM32, SM7, Rode NTK, EV RE20, AT4033,
THese are the ones to look at espcially the dynamics. They can sometimes be better suited to heavy female dynamics and top frequencies.
The Rane pre is pretty nice.We had a shoot out last week.It scored well better than others in the same price bracket.
The Symmetrix mod is a good idea.Do they really need it?
yes i have a sytek and have borrowed maNY microphones to use.i find the low freaquency sound needing some improvement because the AT series does not like those low freaquency well .some eq may be needed. :D
i sold my bellari after one weeks use.my best preamps are certainly my great river and sebatron.i like the tone i am recording now better.maybe you should save up and get some good microphone two. :D
Hello.my name is Rhmett.I operate one of the largest studios in my area.
i'm searching for a nice bass drum microphone to pick up some nice low frequency yet tightness. :D
i have many different preamps ( sytek, great river, sebatron ) that react well with sound but i'm still searching for that...
