I love my SolidTube. Ive had mine for about 3 years and I still use the lil yellow foam windscreen thing LOL. My only question is when are you supposed to replace that damn TUBE? I never replaced mine and record frequently. Am I supposed to hear distortion or something when the tube gets worn out?

The mic is an AKG Solid Tube and the mic pre is a Joe Meek VC6Q. Im recording using Adobe Audition and finalizing everything in FL Studio.

Im using GoldenGate for my gate plugin and I have a small hum in my mic signal. I understand the "threshold" setting but I cant seem to grasp the "hold" and "release" setting. As a result I get a PUMPING sound between breaths once I eliminate the hum. Any recommended settings??

I would like to send multitracked vocals from CEP over to FL Studio but there is ONE BIG PROBLEM! How can I do this without losing the position in time from my CEP session? I find myself just inserting the WAVs and having to find the position all over again in the FL Studio playlist.
