Soundcloud transcodes to 128kbps MP3 (see SoundCloud | I just uploaded and my track is distorte...). Uploading a wav or flac is best. When processing an already encoded file, the transcoder will chop out even more of the audio data. Going from a 192 to 128 MP3 might not make much audible...

That's what I mean by not being able to buy a £150 record - I wouldn't be able to play it, so what's the point of having it. If I owned something that became very valuable, I guess I'd stop using it and being really careful with it, but I don't really own anything that would become so valuable...

Lol, why would you sit round worrying about the value of an amp. People are obsessed with the value of stuff, usually their houses. Unless you're planning on selling it, which I'm guessing you're not, why would you even care?

Lol, I just thought it was funny you stating so vehemently that it is not to be used as such, like you're the audio production authority. Meanwhile, professional productions are chock full of it and many of us here use it where necessary, in flagrant contravention of your directive.

On the default skin, it's just below the FX button. You need to expand the track to see it. Otherwise, on the mixer window, it's below the solo button.

If you hit the monitor button on the channel in Reaper (it's a little picture of a speaker, it will only give monitoring sound when record is enabled on that channel), it will feed the sound back to you via your interface, i.e. with latency. A quick Google suggests that maybe the UX2 doesn't...

You might be able to load a sampler with a vocal sample and play the higher notes on a midi keyboard. I don't really know how to do this, though!
