    mp3 or wav

Soundcloud transcodes to 128kbps MP3 (see SoundCloud | I just uploaded and my track is distorte...). Uploading a wav or flac is best. When processing an already encoded file, the transcoder will chop out even more of the audio data. Going from a 192 to 128 MP3 might not make much audible...

    The New Tone Thread

That's what I mean by not being able to buy a £150 record - I wouldn't be able to play it, so what's the point of having it. If I owned something that became very valuable, I guess I'd stop using it and being really careful with it, but I don't really own anything that would become so valuable...

    The New Tone Thread

I've come up against similar things when I've been buying vinyl recently - because people put so much value in stuff, you can't find some records from my youth for less than £150. I can't pay that for a record I'm going to use. So people just have collections of records they can't use for fear...

Lol, why would you sit round worrying about the value of an amp. People are obsessed with the value of stuff, usually their houses. Unless you're planning on selling it, which I'm guessing you're not, why would you even care?

Glyn John's Technique for recording drums

I only asked because it's clear where the other mics sit, but that one it's a bit ambiguous. I don't even have a drum kit any more!

Glyn John's Technique for recording drums

Is the Beyer mic to the left in line with the centre of the floor tom (i.e. where does it sit, front to back?)?

Could you attach goose necks to each of the fittings on the stereo bar? Might give you more leeway with placement.

How many of you use pitch correction for your own vocals?

Lol, I just thought it was funny you stating so vehemently that it is not to be used as such, like you're the audio production authority. Meanwhile, professional productions are chock full of it and many of us here use it where necessary, in flagrant contravention of your directive.

On the default skin, it's just below the FX button. You need to expand the track to see it. Otherwise, on the mixer window, it's below the solo button.

    The New Tone Thread

If you hit the monitor button on the channel in Reaper (it's a little picture of a speaker, it will only give monitoring sound when record is enabled on that channel), it will feed the sound back to you via your interface, i.e. with latency. A quick Google suggests that maybe the UX2 doesn't...

How to hit high notes using recording techniques? (samples)

You might be able to load a sampler with a vocal sample and play the higher notes on a midi keyboard. I don't really know how to do this, though!

    More adventures in Midiizerland!!!!

You might want to start a new thread in the Tascam sub-forum.

My first attempt at a video. Don't laugh.

Dropbox or some similar file sharing site will do the trick.

Wow, that's a broad question. Pretty much this whole site is for recording and mixing. You'll need to be specific about what you're doing and where you need help.
