certain chord progressions sound like crap, some sound great, you can bet the ones that sound great will be repeated more often than the ones that sound like crap :D to just make something sound different for the reason of sounding different when it sounds unmusical would be little silly...

don't take this as a personal attack it's honesty This is only my opinion, but I think this song is awful & I can't believe all the rave reviews :confused:. It's not the way to help someone. There are some good points, it's a catchy tune & its a descent mix with good instrumental performances...

Yeah that's right don't use compression if you can't be bothered trying to understand what you have done wrong. :rolleyes: some of the people on these forums are really unbelievable, if you want to use compression & learn how to use it correctly the internet will give you the basic settings...

Try using a ratio of 4-1 or 8-1 for guitar

Voted Mesa i've got a mk iii and subway rocket, great amps wasn't too keen on the contour channel everyone goes on about, but now i love it. I think the clean channel on the mesa is better than my twin reverb (which needs recapped to be fair). Peavy r great for price, never have been keen on...

I don't usually compress guitar, sometimes i may need to when the vocals & guitar are fighting for space. I eq so the vocals & guitar don't occupy the same area in the freq range then have to liven the guitar up with a compressor. What are you using to compress?

I'd just like to say i'm absolutley disgusted with the lack of build quality & longevety of Jim Dunlop's wah. Yes it sounds great, yes i love using it. How many times do the feet have to fall off or the rubber bits opposite the switch fall off before JIMMY the wah maker finally designs something...
