I have a simple setup of the VTB-1 Preamp going into an RNC. No issues with levels or control. Way more volume than I would ever need .Love simple stuff! The RNC gives alot of variety for me.

hey - I have a great drummer and want his toms action, but when I crank the two toms tracks (1 mic for upper, 1 mic for floor), I get alotta snare. And this snare is diffused left and right along with my toms panning. I was thinking of trying a gate on the toms only to get the real toms action...

OK thanks I just went home and solved this took the EQ off the pair, put it on the left side track only, goosed the left side level, all fine now... :D
