hey all, so ive used several different large diaphragm condensers into several interfaces and with all of them I feel like it colours/warms my voice too much, I want it to sound more like I actually sound if that makes sense? ive tried eq'ing but I don't find that really changes the actual sound...

Title says it all really, just wondering if anyone knows of any mics with a frequency response curve that has a bit of a boost around 500hz (400-600) most condensers have boost at high end and seen bass mics with boost at low end (150hz and lower) is there any with 500hz boost? doesn't matter...

yeh I get what you mean just not sure whether complimenting a tenor-ish voice with a bright mic or countering it with a beefy low end mic is better, like do I extenuate the good aspects or make up for the weaker aspects

Hi, if I have headphones plugged into the monitoring port on a usb mic (blue yeti, snowball etc) do I still get zero latency if I'm recording with effects on ? or does effects add latency to the monitoring ? thanks
