I've got MXL603 and works great on acoustic guitar. Noise is not really a problem perhaps I have a luck in lowering my room noise. As what I read MXL V69ME has low noise level of 14dB

Well I think I have a good ear... :) Hey Travis try compare the MXL 2001 then the CAD E100, if you still can't hear the difference either you are a drummer hehehe :p or you need a good set of monitor or headphone.

Well 2001 may not a good mic to some but good to other people and depends which application...but buying this pack you've got 603 (which is good) and a free 2001. Note the price of 603 is $99 also.

What about MXL 2001 and MXL 603s that comes in anniversary pack? The price is pretty good deal. I read lots of good reviews of 603s but I'm not sure about 2001.
