    Getting the Clicks heard!

I asked this question in a similar post. Someone suggested isolation headphones. Too expensive for me, but I am going to save up. It's hard enough to get a drummer to listen, especially when he's deaf. I don't remember the brand of phones but if you search for headphones posts you might find it.

    First Song Ever

Seems like a cool song. Words are good, but if we can't hear the song then we can't offer suggestions on anything else. The words are good though

    CD Labels?

Unfortunately I agree, but that is exactly the problem with folks today. There is no such thing as "cheap" music. It's either good or bad. The looks of your cd hopefully won't be sells them. Yes it might help in a record store, but your music, live show, and over-all networking skills will sell...

    CD Labels?

I am going to get the bulk of 100 for $79 bucks. I found a local printing press that prints onto cardboard. I am going to have them print the jackets for me. No cases, peple just throw them away, make sure you get your contact info on the cd in case the "case" is seperated from your masterpiece...

    CD Labels?

On my first cd I printed all the labels myself. I ended up giving most of the customers new copies with no label because they were coming off and screwing up cd play. I'm with Chris, printed. www.diskfactory.com I think thats the link. If not then, www.musiciansfriend.com and look to the right

    Soundclick Ratings

Our song went to #24 in a day. I think it is judged on how may plays you get a day. Send your link out to eneryone you know and post it on a few mixing sites and watch it climb the charts! Does it mean anything, probably not. It would look good in a press kit to say that your first single hit...

Autotune/ Pre or Post? Heaven or Hell?

I have no experience with autotune, but I hear it all the time. At least I think I do. It changes the sound of a voice when it is applied, it almost sounds like a phaser, no? I swear I can hear it...??

Welcome to the forum!!!!! I use a digi001 w/pro tools at home. It seems that most of the "high end" editing softwares are comparible. The 001 came with the sound card, interface, and software. Autotune/ Pre or Post? Heaven or Hell?

You can hear autotune sometimes. Some one with a great ear for recording can probably pick it out whenever they want. If you listen to a recording of autotune abused and used for an effect (Kid Rock, Only god knows why, comes to mind) you can get a feel for how it sounds turned way up. After...

Autotune/ Pre or Post? Heaven or Hell?

I never really thought about it on inst. applications. I have always thought of it as a voice fixer. Someone once told me that it can be abused, but for someone who is a soulful singer, it can correct some pitchy notes. Isn't that what soul is? Up and Down and so on. We have all heard it in pop...

PART 1 of HELP ME RECORD: Choosing the Right Equipment

I say take your money and buy your own equipment. Sure it might take you a while to get good at it, but you will be able to start recording right away with little know-how. If you are planning on recording in the future then learn it at home, otherwise you will need more money when you are ready...
