I'd say a Fender "Pro Tube" Twin Amp. 100 all-tube watts pumping through 2 x 12" speakers. Weighs a metric ton and it's load as all hell. It's got the classic Fender clean tone and it can scream on the crunch channel; it's got some gain on tap. Controls are on the front, too. Only problem...

It looks a little odd but, if the adjustment point is not accessible at the headstock end of the neck, I'd rather be able to make my adjustments with that eyesore than have to remove the pickguard or neck completely to make any adjustments. Those elite guitars look pretty nice outside of that...

Dude, it's about all you need right there. A mic stand might help, like miner said, but i'd almost look around and see if there are any mods for the HM-2 that make it more useable. If it's a small change, a few diodes or an opamp, it won't cost much in parts and won't take long to DIY either...

The only thing I would say is to try using the royer or the senn 421 instead of the 545 alongside the i5. The 545, from what I can tell, is the predecessor of the SM57 (also a good mic) but you're essentially stacking dynamic mics. May not work the same within the software but I've gotten...
