Well if you read what myself and others have said, putting one or two mics around the room in good positions where they pick up the instruments, guitar, keyboard or vocals etc you will be able to EQ, set effects, compress etc the audio that the mics capture. As for recording two tracks at the...
Well I've also just started out and not the best (not even good) I just bought a pair of behringer c-2 condenser mic's which I use for my acoustic guitar I can't sing at all but I did attempt and they sound pretty good (not my singing though) and they aren't too expensive at all, if you are more...
Well I'm not an expert but I wouldn't say that the sound quality is that dependent on your interface, that is down to what your playing, monitors, the room your in and many other things there is a few that are good but what kind of budget do you have, what requirements do you require (things...
Well I've just started also and I think I've done a pretty good job so I'll post that and you can see what I've got for my beginner and just mainly for a hobby studio.
My PC:
500GB HDD
8GB (All Used)
Windows 7 64Bit
2.7GHz Tri-Core CPU
Line 6 UX2 Interface
AKG K77 Heaphones (not the best)...
Providing you set your DAW correctly to use your Interface correctly latency shouldn't be a problem from the drums to your computer, just make sure your computer is up to spec to run everything without problems also if your thinking of EZDrummer I personally would go for that too as it loads...
Did you not read what any responded with ?
I'll help you conclude what they said.
Nothing will happen, the reason they blow is consistant playing from a bass on a small underpowered speaker in which it will just give up, an octave pedal will not sound like the low string on the bass so you...
What VST are you using, which audio interface do you have, do you have a midi controller (keyboard) or are you clicking to add each note ?. Sounds like that there is too much info being passed around for some part of your system to handle.
If you know which processes/services aren't vital to your system running smoothly and obviously account for any others that you use all the time just disable them in the msconfig so that when your computer turns on they don't start and you don't have to go through each time you wanna record and...
It's not the best in the world but it's my first thing with multiple guitars, drums etc
I don't think I've got the hang of using EZDrummer yet.

Well yeah it would be more of a recording/mixing clinic however I'm sure there is some people who have no music experience at all who might need help with writing.
I was out today and I thought of an idea to make myself and any others who are new like me get moving with the recording, well there is two parts to my idea.
First and most simple:
Set a plan and deadline over a week to record a song whether it be live instruments, midi. It can be instrumental...
