Give a little listen here there anywhere.... BAM!

The effects on the acoustics were done with gated reversed reverbs, and the whooshing that I think you are describing are two elec. guitar parts, one on a wah pedal and the other one on a rotary sim, panned to make a weird effect.

    Presonus 1 M-Audio 0

I have also dealt with presonus on a few occaisions about specification questions and I got helpful and quick replies always. I also contacted them about a problem I had with one unit in particular and they offered to take care of it personally, research the cause of the problem, and ship me a...

    AMD vs Pentium 4

... which would be a poor motherboard choice on the system builders end. A poor chipset = crap, regardless of what CPU is in it. BTW, what are these 'problems' that you speak of that are supposedly all related to the chipset?

cleaning the pots on a BBE processor?

No one wants you to throw away the BBE, but in all honesty it inhibits you from reaching a higher potential, because it becomes your crutch when your mixes/buses/tracks lack clarity/punch/etc... All we are saying is that there are better ways to do what you are trying to do. No partonizing here.

cleaning the pots on a BBE processor?

In all honesty, the time alignment thing kinda nibbles at my brain and gives me a sort of 'wtf' feeling. All that time alignment stuff sounds nice and dandy, but in my experience there is no way in hell a cheapo rackmount unit with little to no processing power could possibly do something as...

cleaning the pots on a BBE processor?

'Essential' is a bit of a stretch here. Simple things such as mic placement, instrument selection, and a little knowledge of EQ can go a long way. Although units like this possess some ability to actually make something sound slightly better, what usually happens is that the unit is used to...

Give a little listen here there anywhere.... BAM!

Well, I know it can sound strikingly similar sometimes, but in my own defense, thats how I sing. Thats how I learned to sing... by singing along with a lot of people's songs, not just rzeznik's, but I can't help the fact that my voice or my tone sound similar to his. What I can help, however...
