I'm so much a newby here that I don't even get to use my new Yamaha MT4X 4 track till Christmas!
I was very happy when my brother recently brought home a mini disc player/recorder. But how can I use this to improve my recording?? Obviously it's a place I can store the finished stereo out...
Well thanks for all the advice guys (I just got back from a holiday, and saw all the replies). I guess it's Green Hornet v. the rest of you! I think I'll use the bottle of liquid and the swabs that came with my cassette cleaner, and do it by hand just in case the cassette would actually damage...
I've just bought a four-track (YAmaha MT4X) and the manual says it needs cleaning every 10 hours of use, and de-magnetizing every 30 hours. However, I'm not the most technical guy there is, and don't really know how to do this. What's more no-one at any of the hardware stores I went to seems to...
Thanks for your help guys. I should tell you that I've bought my 4-track - it's a Yamaha MT4X and the mike I got with it (at a very reduced price) was a Behringer XM2000s. Any thoughts on this thing? Will I eventually need to upgrade to an SM57?
well thanks for all your help guys. I should tell you that I've now bought the Yamaha MT4X. I got a very good deal on a Behringer XM2000s mike with it but maybe I'll have to invest in a SM57 at later date. Unfortunately I can't use my four track till Christmas because my Mum paid for half of it...
Thanks for the advice. I'll consider the SM57 and the AT
The thing is I've found an AKG D880 for substantialy less than the SMs , but would this just be a dud mic????
hmmmm Thanks.
how much would a SHure SM57 cost??
I'm in Australia, but I guess if you converted the currencies I wouldn't be keen to spend much more than $50 - or would a mike for that much spoil the work my four track does?
I'm in australia and I'm looking for a four track for making reasonable home compositions. I've found two models that are new and have been reduced in price:
the Yamaha MT4X (700 Australian dollars)
and the Tascam PS414 (600 Australian dollars)
1)Is it worth paying the extra money for the...
I'm in the process of buying a four track (either a Yamaha MTX or a Tascam PS414) and I need a very cheap mike that would only need to be suitable for home ompositions but at the same time would be reasonably consistent with the quality of the four track I'm getting.
Any advice about what mike...
which is better out of the Yamamha MTX and the Tascam PS414?? I know very litle about 4 tracks but I know these two are on sale at very food prices with the Yamaha being a bit more expensive
Advice would be appreciated
