personally, his balances are good the vocals sit well in the mix, but it sounds extremely digital to me...thin, small, and lifeless I'd think metal would be more aggressive more soul...maybe its the mp3 encoding...

first thanks for the feedback...I definitely need to come up with a better way of going about certain things specifically showing the difference between a process sound and an unprocessed sound on the video. I wouldn't say I'm teaching since there isn't one right way to mix, but more so showing...

what would you have done to try and get more thump? or does the kick thump enough but the click is to loud for your taste? again thanks for the feedback...

after listening to your songs if you were going for that tiny, thin, edgy ITB sound, you nailed it....:D

the you tube video...I was listening on my all in one Sony and it still sounded phat... As far as the track, the artist mixed it and gave it to me tracked out and I mixed it...i didn't do it as the video was playing...I took about an hour or 2 on the second video the 3rd video I had to remix...

I posted the final and the ruff mix...you be the judge...FYI it wasn't recorded with my equipment...vocals were recorded on a samson cheap condensor something or other and cheap pre..so take a listen before you pre-judge
