Yea, never mind. Talked to my teacher today and apparently I misunderstood completely what he was talking about that day. :drunk: sorry guys :o.
I still don't understand though, because, I have gone about doing a drum recording the way I mentioned and there is a, not huge, but noticeable...
have a mac that's a lot less likely to get a virus ;).
And no, viruses can be on discs or drives. You are taking a chance every time you put something in there. Though honestly it's something that has never even crossed my mind.
Well, that's interesting. Haven't been a fan of gibsons recently to be honest. Like you said VP^ had a lot of problems with them and know people who have absolute horror stories.
Nonetheless cool guitar.
Also a good choice^^^ Universal Audio makes some great products! Don't be afraid to buy used either OP, can easily save a couple hundred bucks sometimes more if you can find a great deal.
first thing: read this, acoustic basics.
Microphone choice is really up to you, the K2 is a nice microphone, but the only way to know if it will fit your voice and you like is to try it out yourself. What works for me, may not work for you, and vice versa.
You also are going to need some...
I've definitely experimented with this. I had one of my teachers say something along the lines of when you think about a gain knob, substitute sensitivity. This may apply a lot more to live sound than recording but I've definitely played with similar results for recording drums.

turning down the gain a little and mic position are the main factors in cutting down on bleed. You can solve a lot of it with just adjusting where on the rim the mic is positioned. Just experiment with different mic positions.
And it is near impossible to cut out all bleed. The idea is to...
Might be able to get away with it, it's just something you can't afford to mess up which is why I decided to go with the 4x12. But yea, his solo's are awesome, and fun to play. Took me forever to figure out a way to recreate it, ended up putting a booste grande pedal next to the amp and switch...
IMO, no. Tascam makes some pretty decent quality low end products, I still have my US1641 from years ago, still works great. And you'll be tested to find something with 8 simultaneous inputs of the same quality and price. The 800 is a good little interface.
Holy shit! I didn't even see that it was $56 on ebay. Hell even for the $200 msrp that's incredible. I just listened to the "candy" ribbon mic they have on their website and again...holy shit!
Any more random/small microphone companies I should know about Henry? :laughings:
In the used area look at Daking "green bricks" I love that Pre to death! New they're out of your price range, but you never know what will turn up on the web used.
I use a marshall JCM 2000 or 800 along with a 1960a. The main reason is for the rage against the machine tribute I do it helps big time, because I have to have feedback in order to do some of the solos and so being able to stand in stead of crouching down and getting the pickups right next to...
