Doubled hits... rjt: Yeah I noticed those doubled hits using SONAR. All: When you build the loop (and I assume this is the same in ACID) you set timing marks on the wave file that the software uses as refence points when you change the tempo... I've been experimenting with my Burning Grooves...

    Multiple Soundcards In Cakewalk

Hey there. >> How does it tell one card from the other if they are >> the same brand ?? I have not tried simultaneously recording more than a stereo channel at once, but I can tell you this... If you were to have two soundcards installed, each one is given a separate "address" in the...

    SONAR XL Quickie Review...

Dude... Relax man, Take the requests for warez to A.B.S.U and quit asking here. It just pisses everyone off. Or is that the point? You trawling? This place is for people who use cakewalk and associated prods, but more it's for sharing our experiences with it and helping each other. Swapping...

    SONAR XL Quickie Review...

Marketing Problem with LiveSynth Pro. There seems to have been a little misunderstanding with one of the DXi Synths called "LiveSynth Pro". Apparently it was originally listed as the full version, but was switched to a 30-day time limited demo. After much hoo-hahing in the sonar newsgroups...

    SONAR XL Quickie Review...

DXi/SoftSynths/Tassman and You! One of the things /I/ certainly misunderstood were the limitations of softsynths with regards to WDM drivers. Get ready for a happy surprise! I had played with the Tassman demo and then the full Tassman that comes with SONAR XL in real time and yeah there was a...

    Loop libraries

Yes... Yes it will. I downloaded a couple sample waves from the "loops for acid" pages, and imported them. They aligned in my file (rhythm and tempo wise) without any tweaking from me. Changing the tempo was trivial, and the loops sounded awesome. It's like voodoo. ;) -L

    SONAR XL Quickie Review...

More Review Fodder...this chapter: loop editing! Ok I've been playing loop-boy all evening and wonder if Cakewalk will be sued for basically duplicating ACID within SONAR...it's really cool. After actually reading some of the chapter on looping in the manual, I have to say that SONAR makes...

    SONAR XL Quickie Review...

Here's the Review: Short and sweet as I don't want to spend to much time away from my new obsessive compulsion to play with SONAR...more items will get posted as I run into them. The platform: This review involved a: BX Chipset Motherboard PIII 600E (coppermine) that was not overclocked. 392...

    Video Question...

I'm looking for a simple method for synching external video applications to Cakewalk. That is, running on the same box, but not imported into cakewalk. (I've had performace/synch problems with some of the large video). Anyone have suggestions and/or know of any video players that synch...

i have 98se do i have wdm drivers?

Yup... I don't think you'll lose any Pro Audio 9 functionality without having WDM drivers, but you will probably be limited with it's new features. (We *all* will till those damn drivers actually come out!) -L

Soon to be sonar users! Check in please

Sorry eh... but the MOTU stuff is a little bit on the pricey side for me. I want toys sooner and find it hard to wait long enough to save up the funds. But I will certainly give feedback on SONAR. Why don't you give us your opinion of the MOTU equipment, since I've only ever read about it...

WDM Drivers and other audio apps...

Just wondering. What kind of effect will installing the WDM drivers for my Gina24 (IF THEY EVER GET RELEASED *gnash gnash grumble gnaw growf!*) have on my usage of GigaSampler LE (came with Pro Suite). Yeah this probably isn't the right forum for this, but hey...it was *bundled*. I mean, I'll...

i have 98se do i have wdm drivers?

Most likely... ...you don't have any WDM drivers installed right now, since most audio hardware still has them forthcoming. But yes you can use WDM drivers under 98SE. you will probably have to download them from your audio hardware manufacturer and install them. What kind of sound...

Plll 500 mghz, 384 meg of ram ?chances

I would say... Yes., although I've never /used/ SONAR, so I can't be completely sure, but using Pro audio 9 as a guide, sure. You'll probably be limited in the number of real time effects and softsynths you can use. Also...does your operating system and audio hardware have/support WDM...

    Four More Days...

My Box... I'm slightly more geeky than you, but only just. (except for the SONAR Cam *grin*) I've got a P3 600, 392 RAM and cakewalk has a dedicated decent drive. Gina24 with a MIA on the way as soon as they ship. There's a new message in red, bold letters on Echo's driver page that says WDM...

    Four More Days...

...sad. Oh it get's even worse. I've set up my quick-cam peaking out the window, down onto the front entryway, so I can be vigilant while at work for any packages in the front hall. (We rent the second floor of an old house...) When the delivery man comes in and drops that package off at the...
