I've been reading this bbs for awhile, and I heard people say to stay away from USB devices. I am still considering the Lexicon Omega Studio. I only will be recording 1 or possibly 2 tracks at a time, mostly 1 though. Is this still a good system to get, or should I be spending more money on...
Ok I'm still new to recording. I'm using Guitar Tracks and have an audiophile 2496 sound card. I'm also using a cheap Behringer mixer. I have either guitar or mic plugged into the mixer and from there to the sound card. I'm using the rca outs from the mixer to the sound card. Is this right since...
Again thanks for all the replys. gvdv I've pretty much been doing the same things you have except reading the newsgroups. I never new how to acess them. I'll try doing the google search later. I'm nowhere near ready to build or purchase a DAW at this point. I'm moving in a few days so basically...

Hello, I'm really new to recording and just getting started. I'm using Cakewalk GT-Pro on my computer and I have a small Beringer(sp) mixer. Right now I'm using the Tape I/O's to connect to my souncard. I was wondering if this is good or should I be using the 1/4" main outs? It seems to work...
With GT2 I need to have the DDD disk in my cd-rom drive. I know this maybe simple and stupid, but do have the disk in your drive to select a loop? I don't have GT Pro so I'm not sure what to tell you.
