    My $40 Ebay Amp (tune)

I don't know about the amp, but the recording is very nice indeed. *********** *********************

    Tube amps on a budget...

Another good way of putting it!!! The truth is, it's the first new amp I've bought since 1975 (I've bought plenty used) and the only one made after the late 80's. I was kind of shocked at how good it sounds. *********** *********************

    Religious Tone Experience

I have always had an appreciation for folks who can do this...really. Unfortunately...my own playing is not good enough without hiding behind at least some FX...though I use very few. *********** *********************

Do you really buy that expensive recording software?

Overall I have done all three choices. I used to download everything....I've done it less and less over the years. The proliferation of good open source software has helped too. And...I actually buy some now. *********** *********************

What mixer do you have and which do you love?

I wanted to vote, but currently I am not using a mixer.I am using only a POD XT, plugged into my Gateway via usb. That's it. Was using a Behringer, but found it too noisy. Now I get dead silence. *********** *********************

    Tube amps on a budget...

I love my Super Champ XD. I planned on hating it because it is not a 100% tube amp, but I can't help it. It sounds downright great! *********** Do you record your own music??? Get it reviewed at my new site: http://reviewmymusicnow.com/ Sign up FOR FREE as a Musician or Reviewer!

    Shaving the bridge

I did that on my Yamaha recently and the intionation did not change. You could also buy a cheap saddle and do it to that one so you still have the original in case of anything. I say go for it. Good luck. *********** Do you record your own music??? Get it reviewed at my new site...

Mig-30 loud enough for a band?

It should be plenty loud enough! I think you will be surprised at just how loud 30 watts is! The speaker choice will matter too. If you have say a 4x12 bottom, you'll get a very loud amp! *********** Do you record your own music??? Get it reviewed at my new site: http://reviewmymusicnow.com/...

Do you trust Guitar Center sales rep?

No I don't trust them...but no more or less than any other store. They are generally kids and/or salesmen. You simply have to have a clue about what you are buying. In these days with the internet, at least it is easy to do some research before making any kind of purchase. *********** Do you...

    What to look for?

Since he is not a new guitar player, he probably has some very strong preferences already. It would be hard to buy for someone who has prefernces without knowing what they are. Does he like rosewood, maple or ebony fretboard (OK I left out graphite...I should know...I have one)...humbucker or...

    Fixing your own guitar

There are plenty of good books...but don't sell the internet short. There are many good articles on line, some direct from the manufacturers and some from builder/luthers and some from regular people. Just do a search...and by all means...learn to do as much to your own guitar as possible. It is...

A guitar thats an acoustic and electric guitar at the same time?

I do not think it exists. I have a Carvin AE-185, I use it mostly for recording....playing it live with the regular pickups through an amp sounds good, but not as good as most solid body electrics. *********** Do you record your own music??? Get it reviewed at my new site...

    410 or 212?

I tend to like the sound of 12's more than 10's...regardless of how many there are. The quality of the speakers does matter too though. I would take good 10's over crappy 12's anyday...but in your case the speakers are the same quality...so personally I'd go with the 12's. *********** Do you...

Strong Noise whe recording with AA 1.5

I am not an expert. The only thing I can think of is maybe you need to mute either your microphone input or line in input on your computer soundcard settings IN OTHER WORDS mute the one that you are not using. Hope this makes sense and helps. *********** Do you record your own music??? Get it...

    Will this work?

Great little amp...ain't it? I am an old guy (unlike you) and have played so many things over the years...but I just get great sounds out of my little XD. I am going to change the speaker to a Eminence Rajin Cajun soon...they work well with this amp. Good luck.
